RAIN OR SHINE - EBT ACCEPTED - DOG FRIENDLY

Giving Thanks for Rain

and Readying for the Fall Season

The proof is the pudding, or in this case, the produce. A day's worth of soaking rain resulted in the return of glorious green fields. Shown above is Cabbage Throw Farm located in Asbury NJ. All our farmers breathed a sigh of relief this week and are coming to market refreshed and rejuvenated and ready for the fall season. Speaking of which, we have some big news. The Easton Market District Advisory Council met this week and voted in two new vendors who will be joining us in the coming weeks. Get ready to welcome Mediterra Olive Oil and Cuz'n Vinny's Homemade Pasta! And mark October 1st on your calendar because the market is 'moving on up' ... read on for more details.

Fall Flavors

Joy Bauer's Loaded Bell Pepper 'Nachos'

from TODAY

Think the gang will miss those crunchy nachos? Prepare to be surprised. Everyone seems to enjoy the sweet, crispy bell pepper base and appreciate the color, nutrition and flavor that they bring to the table. It's low-carb love! And this dish is incredibly versatile: If you're serving a vegan crowd, skip the meat, cheese and sour cream and double up on the beans, corn and salsa. Dairy-free? Omit the cheese and sour cream. It's a cinch to adjust, it's ridiculously easy to toss together and you can warm leftovers in the oven or microwave when you're ready to eat.

October 1st: Market on the Move!

The Easton Farmers' Market is making history next month! On October 1st we're hitting the road and setting up shop on the beautiful campus of Lafayette College! You'll find us in the quad, surrounded by trees and lush greenery. And there's lots of free parking too. We're pretty sure this is a move that even the Marquis de Lafayette would approve of.

Why the move? Well, with Garlic Fest setting up in the center of town and closing down the circle and surrounding streets, we are unable to simultaneously close down Larry Holmes Drive for the market. So we figured a move to College Hill would be both exciting and more convenient for all. So mark your calendars, spread the word, and stay tuned for more details!

Many thanks to the Lafayette College administration for welcoming the market to campus!
