In-person learning requires a layered approach to COVID-19 safety planning, including physical distancing when possible, wearing masks indoors, frequent hand washing, symptom screening, contact tracing, cough and sneeze etiquette, and other safety practices. We will continue follow district guidance and safety protocols to mitigate the overall risk of transmission.
Did you know attendance in the first month of school can predict good attendance through the school year?
Half the students who miss 2-4 days in September go on to miss nearly a month of school. Find out more on the MMSD Attendance Website. Students can be reported absent by emailing the student's Neighborhood Office Secretary, calling the attendance line, or filling out the online request form.
The Behavior Education Plan (BEP) outlines our strategy to support positive student behavior and implement successful systems of support and intervention for students. The BEP is intended to help turn mistakes into learning experiences and to pair consequences with additional support. Page 14 of the BEP provides an overview of the district's progression of discipline.
