The school district continues to evaluate possible scenarios for our return to school in the fall, with guidance from public health and input from school staff, students and families. Keep checking your email for updates over the summer. Of course, we hope to see you all at school, in person, as soon as it is safe.
As you’ve heard, our yearbook publisher will be delivering in mid-July. Stay tuned for a message with details on how to get your yearbooks. Seniors, it was great to see so many of you and be able to give your diplomas before graduation, even if we were in the school parking lot. If you were not able to pick up your diploma, please see the "Item Collection & Return" information below.
Lastly, as we officially put the 2019-20 school year behind us and begin to think about the year ahead I just want to say thank you. We have faced many challenges this year, and we certainly have a lot of work ahead, both inside and outside of our school building to foster the kind of educational community that our students deserve. Still, our community’s and especially our students’ response to adversity has so often displayed our best qualities. There hasn’t been a day this year when I haven’t felt grateful to be able to work with the young people that I do.
As always, we are lucky to be at East.
Take care this summer and let us know if you need anything.
