The school district continues to evaluate possible scenarios for our return to school in the fall, with guidance from public health and input from school staff, students and families. Keep checking your email for updates over the summer. Of course, we hope to see you all at school, in person, as soon as it is safe.

As you’ve heard, our yearbook publisher will be delivering in mid-July. Stay tuned for a message with details on how to get your yearbooks. Seniors, it was great to see so many of you and be able to give your diplomas before graduation, even if we were in the school parking lot. If you were not able to pick up your diploma, please see the "Item Collection & Return" information below.

Lastly, as we officially put the 2019-20 school year behind us and begin to think about the year ahead I just want to say thank you. We have faced many challenges this year, and we certainly have a lot of work ahead, both inside and outside of our school building to foster the kind of educational community that our students deserve. Still, our community’s and especially our students’ response to adversity has so often displayed our best qualities. There hasn’t been a day this year when I haven’t felt grateful to be able to work with the young people that I do.

As always, we are lucky to be at East.

Take care this summer and let us know if you need anything.

Brendan Kearney

Item Collection & Return
June 22nd-26th, from 9am-12pm, school issued devices and items (textbooks, calculators, athletic uniforms, etc) can be returned to East, and diplomas and locker contents can be picked up. Students/families should go to Door #2 (off the small staff parking lot on Fourth Street) during that time and call 608-204-1730 and a clerical staff will meet them at the door to return/collect items. For the health and safety of our community, our school building remains closed. Students, parents, and community members are not allowed to enter the building.
Summer Resources
Although our building is closed and most staff are not working over the summer, below are some resources to support students and families during the summer.

Clerical staff are available to answer andy additional, general (non-summer school) questions Monday-Friday, 9am-12pm at 608-204-1730.
Summer School
Students who are registered for Summer School should have received a welcome email on Friday, June 19th. Registrations will not be accepted after June 24th. The virtual Summer School office hours are Monday-Thursday from 11:00am-1:00pm. Questions about Summer School should be directed to Emily Nevel, Summer School Secretary, at 608-516-5512.
