There are many ways to entertain ourselves these days. It used to be you'd go out to see a movie or show, but things are different now. We are finding new ways to reach others, entertain ourselves, and explore the world right from our own homes.
I have a guilty pleasure, I am stuck on watching "Escape to the Chateau" about a couple from England that decide to "fix-up" a 400-year-old chateau. It's been fascinating to watch and a nice departure from this drought plagued month.
(Read how to deal with the drought HERE.)
The thought of fixing up a place like that hits you with reality when you witness this couple dealing with tough things, like installing a heating system in a 45 room stone structure or repairing and replacing the old slate roof, 150 feet up.
Fixing-up the perennial garden in August is almost certainly more tranquil, right up our alley, and more enjoyable considering the immediate rewards.
This week C.L. gives us some great pointers and tips on how to accomplish this in our Blog Post below.
After, you can partake in a refreshing beverage and walk the garden to enjoy the effort of your skills. It will fill you with satisfaction and accomplishment. Maybe not a "Chateau" size feat, but one that you can be proud of!
