I always try to find a quote that blends with our newsletter. I started looking for a quote about 'garden maintenance', unfortunately, there wasn't a lot out there. I did, however find some when I searched the word 'maintenance' and I think the one above, works for a garden... or, perhaps a little leeway is needed on this.
Hugs are a good thing. It's a simple truth. They release endorphins, they show comfort and can ease a wounded soul.
As stated above 8 hugs are needed for maintenance. This may seem a little high for a garden. I mean, like how do you hug a garden in the first place?
Maybe a hug is expressed as a little water and some food. Surely sunlight, perhaps a trim or clearing of some weeds would count. If I was a plant I would like those kinds of hugs. Then there is the proverbial "talk to your plants".
Do plants thrive on conversation? Or, is it that we thrive on communicating to our plants? Either way, it can't hurt. So go ahead, tell them all your little secrets, dreams and hopes.
Our gardens... truly are deemed our trusted confidants.
