Composer Conversations

May 9th, 11am-1pm @ Aviary Lounge

Join us for an intimate gathering with composer Eric Banks to discuss his inspiration behind This Delicate Universe including the creative process, his journey to Egypt to visit Constantine Cavafy's apartment, and his relationship with Conspirare's Craig Hella Johnson. This Delicate Universe & Come to the Woods, world premieres

In Austin May 9th, 8pm and May 10th, 4pm @ St. Martin's Lutheran Church

This Delicate Universe by Eric Banks explores human connections with art, home, nature, love and the great beyond! This beautiful and complex work is based on five poems by Greek-Egyptian poet Constantine Cavafy. Come the Woods byJake Runestad is based on text by Scottish-American naturalist John Muir and honors his devotion to the natural world. purchase tickets

Each performance will commence with pre-concert talks featuring Banks and Runestad, one hour prior to show.
