AAP Training and Educational Opportunities:

•  Click here to watch a brief 4 min video  showing how a pediatrician discerned a major recent emotional trauma through relationship building and open ended questions at a well child visit.
• Caregiver Supports for Children Who Have Experienced Trauma including Infographics in English and Spanish:  https://www.aap.org/en/patient-care/trauma-informed-care/resources-for-families/to access the infographics. 
• AAP Pediatric Approach to Trauma, Treatment, and Resilience (PATTeR) project, information and guidance on implementing TIC in pediatric settings. • AAP Trauma Informed Care Family Resources: Download and share the infographics below to help families and caregivers learn how to address challenges of parenting when they or their children have experienced trauma. • The National Child Traumatic Stress Network (NCTSN) was created by Congress in 2000, administrated by SAMHSA, and has grown to include over 10,000 local and state partnerships. NCTSN Learning Center offers Free Online Education https://learn.nctsn.org/
• AcesAware.org: To access the details of some of the Aces Aware trainings you may have to become a member although there is no cost and just a short form to complete to get the membership and access to all the online trainings.

• Online Education for Providers These resources focuses on medical(serious acute or chronic illness and hospitalization) rather than psychosocial trauma(ACE’s, abuse, neglect, SDoH) but is very thorough and informative
