A Note from Help Me Grow Skagit's Physician Champion

Dr. Francie Chalmers

Happy Holidays everyone and welcome to the Help Me Grow Skagit December Newsletter.

We have a terrific Child Development Series consisting of monthly pre-clinic Thursday morning CMEs for medical professionals scheduled January through June.

First off, on Thursday January 19th from 7-9 am you can tune in on Zoom to hear from the staff at HOPE (Healthy Outcomes from Positive Experiences), out of Tufts Medical Center in Boston. HOPE is striving to use the concept of Positive Childhood Experiences (PCEs) to help mitigate the negative impact of ACEs. See below for more details including the registration link and please consider joining in on the discussion.

See below also for the subsequent child development-themed CME events that are monthly through May followed by a planned in person convening in June.

How is it going with you and Help Me Grow Skagit? The brief survey we offered in the last newsletter is included here again in an effort to increase the rate of response. I know, I too am tired of being asked and as soon as I see the word feedback I hit delete. We really do count on your input to make these CME offerings useful. And I promise there will be no “ask” at the end of the survey. As HMG Skagit’s “Physician Champion” please remember that I am available to help facilitate connections between your practice and community support services. I can be reached anytime with questions and feedback at fchalmers.md@gmail.com.
