 Periodic Quest: Suitable for Age 8 - Adults
Currently, there are more than six card games and two board games included in the set. Some of the card games are suitable for beginners with no background in chemistry. These games will introduce them to the name and basic properties of various elements as well as how these elements are arranged on the Periodic Table of Elements into differents groups and periods based on the perioidicity and variation in properties.
For e.g. Atomic Rummy is a game that does not require players to have any knowledge of Chemistry. This game allows players to become familer with various aspects of the Periodic Table. Each player, in turn, picks and drops cards till one of the players (winner) comes up with a set of cards that reproduces any of the groups or patterns on the Periodic Table.
Some card games are suitable for players with prior exposure to chemistry. These games are similar to the Scrabble game and challeng the players to build on their knowledge to create various chemical compounds using the cards in hand to win the game.
The Explorer board game allows players to throw dice and move along the Periodic Table while challenging the opponents on various properties of elements and winning cards.
The Challenger game, as the name suggests, is a game that challenges players to quickly recall chemical formulas and make use of the cards in hand to make these chemical formulas, thereby winning the cards used in compound formation. |
