Notice of Funding Availability
 
The California Department of Housing and Community Development is pleased to announce the release of Permanent Local Housing Allocation (PLHA) Program entitlement and Non-entitlement Local Government Formula Component Notice of Funding Availability  (NOFA) for approximately $195 million and the PLHA Formula Allocation Application.

Applications will be accepted Over-the-Counter beginning 
April 27, 2020 and ending July 27, 2020 at 5:00 p.m.

Please note : Pursuant to the PLHA Guidelines, jurisdictions must meet Housing Element and Annual Progress Report requirements stated in Section 302(a) and (b) in order to receive PLHA funds. See NOFA Appendix D for a list of ineligible jurisdictions as of the date of this notice. We acknowledge that many ineligible jurisdictions are in process of obtaining compliance, and they will be eligible for this program once compliance is obtained during the application period.

Background: 
The PLHA Program provides grants to Local governments in California for housing-related projects and programs that assist in addressing the unmet housing needs of their local communities.
