Friendly reminder: be sure to take advantage of this weekend's permit-free yard sale. This is your opportunity to sell items without a permit. Permits are typically required for all yard sales in the City. If you have items that you cannot sell, be sure to take them to our bulky item drop-off on April 13 at 917 East Grand Avenue from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Now, here's what's making news for April 3, 2019:
City Council agrees to continue discussions on
San Gabriel Plaza mixed-use project
After deliberation, the City Council unanimously agreed to continue discussions on the San Gabriel mixed-use project to a future date. In its current form, the project will feature 163 residential condominium units and 34,835 square feet of retail/restaurant space on an approximately 3.66-acre site located at 220 South San Gabriel Boulevard.

The City Council will continue to deliberate on the project at a future date.
Catch "Blackmail" at the Playhouse on April 14
Next up in the Playhouse's Silent Sundays film series is "Blackmail" on April 14 at 2:30 p.m. Directed by the master of suspense Alfred Hitchcock, the 1929 thriller is considered one of his earliest masterpieces.
Cinco de Mayo Mercado in San Gabriel to take place May 3
Save the date: this year's Cinco de Mayo in San Gabriel takes place on May 3 beginning at 6:00 p.m.

Artisan vendors, handmade crafts, artists, food trucks, live music and more will be featured in front of the Mission Playhouse. We hope to see you there!
