A ribbon cutting was held to unveil the new Perry-Houston County Airport Terminal and Corporate Building last week. The new terminal is 4,600 SF, much larger than the older 1,400 SF facility. A new hangar to house jets was also constructed and the runway was resurfaced and extended by five feet, which will allow for larger aircraft to fly to Perry, according to Airport Manager Jim Marquardt.

More details about the multi-million dollar airport expansion can be read about in the Houston Home Journal here.

Zaxby's is under construction on Perry Parkway beside Wendy's. A new subdivision, Sugar Creek, received approval for construction on Langston Road. Additional phases were approved for the Sadie Heights and Lake Forest subdivisions. Cook Out is open.

It was exciting to attend the ribbon cutting of the Perry-Houston County Airport last week. With loaner cars for guests and flight crews that stop in Perry, the airport is an asset for developers, businesses and visitors to Perry. We have hosted developers from Valdosta and Athens via the airport this year and last year corporate executives from Columbus, Ohio came for an existing industry event.
