FAMILY UPDATE

Luke just wrapped up 1st grade last week and has really thrived in our homeschool journey. Joy is finishing up her last few days of preschool and recently enjoyed performing in her dance recital. Both kids have also been a part of a kids discipleship program, which is wrapping up for the summer.

As school and activities wind down for the summer, Sara will be traveling to speak at several churches and share in-person updates about our ministry. To keep costs down, Tim and the kids will be staying home for most of the travel. This also gives Tim time to focus on the many tasks ahead as we prepare for the Mandarin launch.

PERSECUTED FOR THE GOSPEL

GRACE & ESTHER

A ministry partner we’ve worked closely with and have provided numerous discipleship resources, recently shared the powerful story of two of their disciples, Grace and Esther. Grace and Esther got very involved in an underground house church. But in their country, attending a house church leads to severe persecution. When local authorities discovered their church, everyone in the church including Grace and Esther were arrested and interrogated for several days. The police ordered them never to attend their church again and to never tell anyone about Jesus again. The experience was so traumatic it left them with ongoing nightmares.

Still, they refused to be silenced.

Even knowing the risks—prison or worse—they knew people in their country needed to hear about Jesus. They decided to take precautions to avoid being caught. They began traveling to remote areas where there were no police present. Without announcing their plans, they would show up and host spontaneous Vacation Bible Schools, drawing crowds of 30 to 40 children—and their mothers. God protected them, and they have continued these secret missions across their nation, reaching places where the name of Jesus had never been heard!

As we push toward our November launch of Bible courses in Mandarin—with the goal of training over a million leaders across Southeast Asia—we’ve hit some financial challenges. Inflation has impacted several of our supporters, and some have had to pause their giving. At the same time, our own costs for groceries, insurance, and ministry operations continue to rise.

We’re currently looking to raise an additional $1,400 a month to stay on track. Would you please pray for our ministry and give as you're able? Every gift helps equip more leaders like Esther and Grace and spread the Gospel where it’s never been heard! In China alone it is estimated there are over 140,00,000 unreached with the Gospel. Every dollar creates a dent in that number.

Blessings,

Tim & Sara
