President's Message My message:   Hello family and friends of Pershing Middle School! In less than two weeks we will be starting our Thanksgiving holiday break. Please consider donating socks, coats, hats, gloves, and scarves to our school’s wrap around specialist, Ms. Rushing. She will get these items to our students in need. Kona Ice Wednesday November 10th 4:00- 5:00 pm Pershing’s small lot off of Braes Blvd. Prices range for $4-$6  Kona Ice will donate a portion of its sales to the PTO.

Our Spaghetti Supper PTO Chairs did an outstanding job orchestrating such an amazing event. Thank you LeeAnn and Tania!!

The Pershing Spaghetti Supper and Fine Arts Showcase was blessed with beautiful weather, great food and wonderful performances by our fine arts students!   Thank you to all of the volunteers who helped out at the event, and all of the parents who donated funds for the raffle! Beginning on November 29th, our physical education classes will be participating in an in-house skating program. The skates will be delivered directly to the school and used inside our gymnasium. This equipment is specifically intended for indoor use. The equipment will be delivered to the school for this unit. Cost is $20 (cash). Students can pay their PE teachers. Permission Form is due 11/19.

Book Your Birthday Wish Today Looking for a special way to recognize your student’s birthday? Post a Birthday Wish on the Pershing Marquee located on Stella Link. Birthday wishes will appear on the marquee for three days, usually the day before, day of and day after depending on when it falls. $25 per Birthday Wish Form and payment must be received two weeks in advance. HSPVA’s Middle School Workshops have returned in person this year! Students will get hands on instruction by current PVA upperclassmen and a chance to work in state of the art studios (and see the school!) While participation has no effect on a student’s application, it’s a great way to start a portfolio and check out the art magnet HS.
