Preview This Weekend

This Sunday’s lectionary readings invite us to reflect on persistence in prayer. From Jacob wrestling with God at the river Jabbok to a widow pleading for justice before an unjust judge, Scripture shows us that faith sometimes means holding on when it would be easier to let go. In this week’s video, Pastor Will explores how wrestling with God can become a place of blessing, how perseverance in prayer shapes our faith, and how God’s mercy meets us in the struggle with the simple, ancient cry of the church: “Kyrie eleison — Lord, have mercy.”

The Book of Remembrance—sometimes called the Book of the Dead—will be placed beside the baptismal font just inside the sanctuary. You are invited to write the name of a loved one or dear friend who has entered eternal rest. The book will remain available through All Saints Weekend, November 2.
