With our whole being, in Relationship, Gospel Living and Unity in Diversity, may we give witness to the goodness that is all around us. | | Celebrating St. Francis Day, blessing of pets | | |
October 4 is the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi, a day to commemorate his life, radical humility and deep love for all of God's creation during the 800th anniversary of the Canticle of the Creatures. FSPA invites you to join us in La Crosse, Wisconsin, for Mass in Mary of the Angels Chapel at St. Rose Convent at 11 a.m. and a pet blessing event at Viterbo University's Assisi Courtyard (across the street from the chapel on Franciscan Way) at 4 p.m. In the Chicago area? The archdiocese is hosting pet blessings at parishes and shrines from Friday, Oct. 3, to Sunday, Oct 5.
