FOOD FOR MEDICAL PROVIDERS & OLDER ADULTS
The Chesed Committee is sending food to medical providers in the community over Pesach as our way to support them as they support all of us. The Chesed Committee is also working to bring basic supplies to older adults in the community who are not able to shop.

If you'd like to contribute to these efforts, please visit asbi.org/donate and select "Chesed Fund". If you are able to help with delivery of Chesed meals and food, please email Sara Wolkenfeld at sarawolkenfeld@gmail.com.
Volunteers Needed for the Lakeview Pantry
Since the COVID-19 outbreak hit the city, visitors to Lakeview Pantry, Chicago’s largest food pantry, have increased by over 80%. To help keep up with demand and offer a safe space for volunteers to help sort and pack food, the Pantry will be setting up a temporary satellite food distribution center on the main concourse at Wrigley Field.

They are in need of more volunteers to meet demand. To sign up to volunteer or learn more, visit lakeviewpantry.org/volunteer. Can’t volunteer? Consider making a donation to help those in need.
Chesed Activity for Kids
ASBI Member Sarah Unterman is treating COVID-19 patients at the ICU. Help cheer up and encourage her staff as they work around the clock on the front lines of the coronavirus pandemic. Have you kids write thank you notes or pictures that can be distributed to ICU staff and drop them in Sarah's mailbox or email shul@asbi.org for the address.
Resources for Parents with Preschoolers at Home from Tara Holden
If you are interested in receiving a few ideas daily that can be done at home with preschoolers please fill out the google form here. My goal will be to send this out each morning and to vary the types of activities. Hope this helps keep the little ones engaged and entertained a bit while staying home.
