Greetings!

I hope you are doing okay during this challenging time of COVID-19.

I don't usually send out more than one email each week but, given what's going on, I wanted to make sure you know about the online support group for pet business owners that's happening next week, if that's something that would be helpful for you at this time.

A couple of days ago I asked members of my Facebook groups if they would be interested in a 2-hour support / co-working online group. Many said that they would like to participate, so here I am to tell you about the online group that's happening next week.

The purpose of this 2-Hour Pet Business Support /Co-Working Online Group is for you to have a safe, loving and empowering container of connection from like-minded peers as well as accountability during this unusual time.

This group is for you regardless of whether you have recently started your pet business or you’re a long-time pet business owner. I've created this online group to be a soft place for you to land for a couple of hours next week.

There will be many different pet service providers attending from all over the world, including dog trainers, pet sitters, dog walkers, pet groomers, dog daycare owners, pet store owners and more. If you have a pet business or have recently started a pet business, you are welcome to join us. This is an online group and you can attend from wherever you are at on the globe.

Some of what you’ll experience from this group: At the start of our time together, I will share for a bit so we can all be on the same page. Then, I will lead us on a short 5-minute meditation / chill out / whatever you like to call it, in order to get grounded and present with yourself.

After that, there will be 30-45 minute personal and/or business check-in from those who want to participate (1-minute maximum check-in, per person). If you need to share about what’s happening in your business or life, that’s welcome during this time. Or, if you prefer to share what you want to put your energy and attention on during the co-working portion of the time together, that’s fine too.

Please note that we may not be able to get to everyone who wants to check-in due to time constraints. Also, I, (Kristin Morrison), will not be coaching people during this group time. This is an opportunity for you to express what’s going on and/or what you want to work on, in a safe and loving environment - or, if you’d prefer not to share but rather just listen to those who check-in, that’s fine too.

The remaining time (up to one hour) will be available for working on whatever business project you need to work on. Those tasks could include entering client data in your admin system, balancing your checkbook, asking clients for reviews so when your business picks up you'll have more reviews than you started with, or whatever you want to work on. All tasks and projects are welcome!

We’ll be on Zoom the entire 2-hour period. You can be on video or not - your choice. You’ll have the ability to be on video (or not), at any time during the 2-hour pet business online group.

Everyone will be muted during the co-working portion. If you’d prefer to use the co-working time to instead connect with those who aren’t working on projects, that’s absolutely fine. There will be an option to text chat with other group participants via a message box if you’d rather "talk" about what's going on for you as well as get and give support rather than working on a project.

FAQ about the 2-Hour Support / Co-Working Online Group:

This group will be on Thursday, March 26, 2020: 11am Pacific / 12noon Mountain / 1pm Central / 2pm Eastern

Live outside of the United States and want to attend?
No problem! There are a lot of pet business owners who are attending from all over world (some are even setting their alarms to wake up in the middle of the night or very early in the morning to join us!) All pet business owners are welcome.

If you live outside of the U.S., check this time zone calendar to find your start time.

How does this group take place?
This online group happens through Zoom and was created **as a support solution** for the crisis that is affecting pet business owners.

How much:
$12 (register now and before midnight on Tuesday, March 24, 2020)
$20 (register Wednesday, March 25 or later)

Q. Why is there a fee for this online support / co-working group?
This online group will be hosted on the Zoom platform, which is a large expense for Kristin, especially because there are a lot of attendees joining (Zoom pricing is based upon the number of attendees). Also, studies have shown that when participants pay for a class, even a small amount, it generally results in them showing up to class and getting more more from the class then they would if it was a no-cost class. Finally, I'm setting aside my time to organize and run this group. If this amount is a hardship for you, please contact me directly to discuss it. I'll work with you to ensure you can join.

Q. Why should I sign up for this Pet Business Owner Support / Co-Working Online Group ?
Because it will be a connecting, loving, supportive experience in the midst of all that may be challenging you right now.

Being a part of this group can help you feel nourished and emotionally held during this difficult time. If you choose, the second half of the group will also help you focus your time and energy on any work projects you may want to tackle (inputting client data into your software system, asking clients for reviews, balancing your checkbook, or any other project that you’d like to tackle.

If you’d prefer to use the second half of the group to instead chat with others via the message box, that’s fine too. It’s completely up to you how you want to use this time.

This support group is designed within a specific container of time and support to strengthen your accountability, focus, and determination - as well as nurture your spirit.

Q. Will this be recorded so I can watch it later?
Given the intimate nature of the check-ins and in order to create a safe place for all to share and work, this online group will not be recorded.

Q. How does this class take place?
This online class happens through Zoom. You’ll receive details a couple days before the support group date.

Q. Can I switch my time to another time after I’ve signed up?
Unfortunately not. Please make sure the time and date that you sign up for works for you before you sign up. There are no refunds given. Thanks for understanding!

Q. What if I’ve had my pet business for many years. Will this still be supportive for me? Absolutely! Even if you’ve had your business for many years you’ll nearly always find daily actions you can take or ways of refining your pet business. There are many attending the online support group who have had their businesses for decades and, like you, are needing support and accountability during this time, so you won’t be alone if you’ve had your business for years. And if you’re a newbie pet business owner, you’re welcome too!

If you know pet business owners who could benefit from the support from the online group next week, please forward this email to them, or share information about it in whatever Facebook or LinkedIn pet business groups you're in.

We're in this, together.

Sending you a big hug. I hope you can feel it.

~Kristin Morrison
