Rescue Rally & StoryWalk Grand Opening

Celebrate the Grand Opening of the new StoryWalk® with a paw-some day full of pet-friendly activities 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., this Saturday at Clow Stephens Park. We’ve partnered with the Plainfield Area Public Library to bring you plenty of fun, food, freebies and fur.

Community Day of Play

Enjoy an abundance of outdoor activities, games, music and more at the Second Annual Day of Play held in partnership with the Village of Romeoville Parks & Recreation Department 5 to 7 p.m., September 12 at Rotary Park, 2023 Whitmore Drive, in Romeoville. No registration is necessary for this FREE event. 

Enchanted Ball

Come one, come all, it is time for the Enchanted Ball! Put on your most enchanting outfit and join us for a magical evening of dancing, mystical games, exquisite treats and photo opportunities 6 to 8 p.m., September 15 at the Prairie Activity & Recreation Center! Cost is $15/$18 for residents/non-residents (ages 2-14).

Toddler Open Gym

Children ages 1 to 4 may enjoy use of the gym from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., September 21 and 28 at the Prairie Activity & Recreation Center. The gym will be full of balls, mats, small basketball hoops, soccer goals and more. Parental supervision is required. Cost is $5/$10 for residents/non-residents. Parents are admitted free.

Autumn Family Fun Fest

Join us at Eaton Preserve 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., September 23 for fall-themed fun!

Activities include:

• family hayrides
• pumpkin launching
• pumpkin patch
• prairie maze
• entertainment
• food trucks NEW! (In partnership with Brew Avenue Events)
• beer garden NEW! (In partnership with Brew Avenue Events)
• petting zoo
• inflatables
• and more!

Admission is FREE; however, inflatables, pumpkin patch, and petting zoo require paid tickets. Tickets and day-of wristbands will be available for purchase onsite.

Early bird wristbands are available now for purchase online for $15 and can be picked up at the event check-in. Additional wristbands will be available for purchase on the day of the event for $20. Wristbands include unlimited access to inflatables and the petting zoo and one pumpkin.

Parent-Tot Sports & Super Sports

Participants have a great time learning a variety of sports at Parent Tot Sports and Super Sports, both with sessions beginning September 11.
