Winter Work Party & Solstice Celebration, 2017
Happy Solstice from the Bounty!

Welcome to winter and the end of our harvest season! Here at Bounty Farm, we are celebrating a time of reflection before spring renewal. Thanks to all who contributed their time, food, and presence with us as we celebrated the winter solstice and end of the 2017 season. Laughs were had and good food eaten as we shared our hopes for the new year.

We will be taking a quick break from drop-in volunteer hours to spend some time on-farm and in-office to plan and prepare for next season. But we'll be back soon! Keep an eye on our Facebook page for updates and join us in celebrating Martin Luther King Jr. Day, on Monday, January 15th.

Our Year in Photos

What's a year look like on a community farm? We gathered some of our favorite shots - one for each month this year - to give you a glimpse.

Many thanks to all of our community, interns, volunteers,, and friends for a productive season. Check out our blog post HERE for some of our favorite moments from 2017.

Intern Spotlight
Meet Sara Schmunk, Farm Production Intern

Sara Schmunk found her way to Bounty Farm through a path of farm-focused restaurants and environmental planning studies at SSU - and we couldn't feel more fortunate! As one of our fall Farm Production interns, she has supported Katherine, Bounty Farm Manager, in planting, weeding, field maintenance, and a bevy of other farm-related projects. She also makes an amazing hummus (ask her for the recipe if you ever work with her at Bounty Farm). We sat down with Sara to talk farm-to-table restaurants, ways to stay comfortable while weeding, and her spirit crop (a hard choice).

Learn more about Sara and her story in our blog post here!
8th Annual Plant Sale is Scheduled
Save the Date- Sunday April 22nd

It's hard to believe that we'll start seeding in the greenhouse in just a few short weeks!

In order to help you plan your garden start purchasing, we are publishing our 2018 Plant Sale date early. Proceeds go to support Bounty Farm operations and community initiatives hosted on site. Additionally, all plants not sold will be donated to under-resourced school, community and public benefit garden initiatives.

If your company or community group is in a position to sponsor this event, or if you would like to help make the 2018 Plant Sale our greatest event yet, please contact Suzi.
