CARAVAN OF THIEVES
Caravan of Thieves
Caravan of Thieves

Thrill-Seeking Gypsy Jazz
FRI, FEB 21 | 8:00 PM
For several years, this Caravan of Thieves has roamed the North American continent recruiting a family of avid thrill seekers at their high energy shows. Driving gypsy jazz rhythms, acoustic guitars, upright bass and violin lay the foundation for mesmerizing vocal harmonies and fantastic stories. It's theatrical and humorous. It's musical and intense. It entertains, dazzles and defies classification while welcoming the spectator to join the band throughout the performance in momentary fits of claps, snaps and sing-alongs. If Django Reinhardt, the cast of Stomp and the Beatles all had a party at Tim Burton's house, Caravan of Thieves would be the band they hired.

NOAM PIKELNY & FRIENDS FEATURING
Noam Pikelny & Friends
Noam Pikelny & Friends
Bryan Sutton, Luke Bulla, Barry Bales & Jesse Cobb
SAT, FEB 22 | 8:00 PM
On the heels of a new album, Noam Pikelny, one of the founding members of the Punch Brothers, brings this bluegrass supergroup to Portland for the very first time!

An evening with Noam Pikelny on banjo, Bryan Sutton on guitar, Luke Bulla on fiddle, Barry Bales on bass and Jesse Cobb on mandolin marks an historic collaboration between five of the most celebrated acoustic instrumentalists and singers of our time. These musical friends are gathering in concert to share with audiences an experience that customarily only happens behind closed doors, whether backstage at a festival or at a Nashville picking party. With each member being a front man in his own right, the band will present an evening of original and classic bluegrass music.

PLEASE NOTE:  THIS SHOW IS SOLD OUT!!

Juanito Pascual New Flamenco Trio

SUN, FEB 23 | 7:00 PM

Virtuoso flamenco guitarist/composer/improviser Juanito Pascual has been called "one of the hottest flamenco guitarists in recent years" by National Public Radio, a major accolade which in this case is just the jumping off point for the Minneapolis native's musical style. His sound is a truly organic blend of a mastery of traditional and contemporary flamenco with influences ranging from Jimi Hendrix and the Grateful Dead to Miles Davis and J. S. Bach.

His newest project, Juanito Pascual New Flamenco Trio features two highly versatile and dynamic musicians, Grammy-nominated percussionist Tupac Mantilla (Julian Lage Group, Bob Moses, Kenny Werner) and bassist Brad Barrett (Jason Moran, Ran Blake). By combining their distinct musical backgrounds with a powerful personal chemistry, the Trio has created a fresh and exhilarating sound giving performances that leave audiences literally spellbound.
