New Leadership, Same Urgent Fight

– Let’s Reach 10,000 Signatures!

To everyone who has signed and shared this petition – thank you! Your voices are making a difference, and we’ve now surpassed 2,100 signatures. But we must keep pushing – and we need your help to reach 10,000 signatures.

Where We Stand Now:

• The U.S. government under President Trump has imposed tariffs and continues to threaten additional tariffs that are already impacting the affordability of medical compression garments for Canadians.

• The Canadian government has imposed retaliatory tariffs as of March 13 which, so far, do not include medical compression garments. However, the threat remains as the trade war continues to escalate, and if Canada moves on to include these garments, this will drastically increase costs for lymphedema patients and the industry partners who provide these essential medical garments.



• The Liberal Party of Canada has just selected its new leader, Mark Carney, to replace Justin Trudeau. This is a critical moment to make our voices heard and demand that medical compression garments be excluded from tariffs.

How You Can Help:

• Share this petition with your network – forward to friends, family, healthcare providers, and patient groups. Every signature adds pressure on policymakers.

• Contact the federal ministers listed on the petition to demand exclusion from these harmful tariffs for medical compression garments.

• Write or email your local MP and urge them to oppose these tariffs.

• Stay engaged! We’ll keep you updated on next steps as we fight to protect access to these essential medical garments.
