This Sunday

We'd love to see you at church this Sunday, as it's going to be a great morning! We have a special speaker lined up, we'll recap our Fall Fest event, dedicate some kiddos, and give you an opportunity to sign up for Financial Peace University! Jamie Detweiler, who is a member of Petra's Finance Team, will bring the word with a message titled, "Biblical Finances: Combating the Lies We Believe About Money." We can't wait to worship with you!

Are You Ready?!

It's BIG, and it's THIS SATURDAY! Petra's Fall Fest will run from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. We will enjoy a day of fun with giant inflatables, including a Jungle Safari Playland Maze, 68’ Mega Obstacle Course, Whack a Mole, a bounce house, face painting, carnival games, prizes, a preschool patch, FREE food, 3 Ryan & Friends shows, campfires, and so much more! Please enter at the West Entrance by the Petra sign.

After parking, please come straight to the Registration Booth to pick up a brochure with a map and all the food and activities listed. You will need to have the brochure with you to get food and participate in some of the activities.

Everything is FREE except for the optional purchase of Chick-fil-A sandwiches for $4 apiece.

We can't wait to spread the love of Jesus to our community through this day of fun!

We are blessed by the amazing response to our call on Sunday for additional Fall Fest Volunteers! As of this morning, we still need just a few (list below). All volunteers should remember to check in at the Volunteer Tent 10 minutes before their designated time for a volunteer tag and important details.

If you are donating baked goods, please drop them off at the church kitchen by tomorrow (Friday) at 12 p.m. We still welcome any baked cookies or whoopie pie donations. Please bring them individually wrapped.

This event requires a ton of set-up and clean-up, and we could use your help on Thursday from 6-9 p.m. (meet at the Gym Entrance), Friday from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. (meet in the Café), Saturday from 8-11 a.m., or after the event at 3 p.m. (meet on the Petra Fields). If you’re available at any of those times, we’d greatly appreciate you joining the team!

Water Baptism

Baptism is for anyone 10+ who wants to be baptized, including those who were too young to understand a previous baptism and those who have made a re-commitment to the Lord! Our next water baptism will take place on Sunday, November 12. If you're interested in taking this next step on your spiritual journey, please plan to attend a class either this Sunday, October 29, at 9 a.m. or on November 5 at 11 a.m. Remember to register below or at the Resource Hub!

Learn to steward your money well! Petra is hosting Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University this Fall. This course will be led by Ken Martin and will meet in the Petra Café at 7 p.m. on Wednesday evenings beginning November 8 through December 20. Throughout these 6 weeks, you will learn how to take control of your money, get out of debt, and create a plan for your future. Through video teaching, class discussions, and interactive small group activities, FPU presents biblical, practical steps to get from where you are to where you've dreamed you could be. Cost is $79.99. Register below!

International Day of Prayer

Petra’s Prayer Ministry is holding a Prayer meeting for the persecuted church from 7 - 8:30 p.m. next Sunday, November 5, in the Oasis. There will be a video on the International Persecuted Church, and Prayer Minister Mike Ingold will be sharing about the churches in Ukraine. There will also be prayer information tables set up for personal prayer time. If you have a heart for your persecuted Christian brothers and sisters, join us on November 5.

The Rally

Calling all sixth through twelfth graders! Are you registered for The Rally?? This all-night event begins at 7 p.m. on November 17 and will feature a concert by Riley Clemmons and Jonathan Traylor. All fifth graders are welcome to join us from 7-10 p.m. for the concert only! At 10 p.m., there will be games, giveaways, worship, and teaching. At 1 a.m., we travel to the Nook for four and a half hours of fun and then wrap up the event with breakfast at Shady Maple. Don’t forget to register below!

Lipstick & Crayons

Women of all ages in any season, YOU are invited to join us this Wednesday at 9:15 a.m. in the Oasis as Candace Hahn will share how we can help our children build a solid foundation in Christ. We hope to see you there!

Lipstick and Crayons is a program designed for women of all ages and walks of life, with a special focus on mothers. Childcare is available for children through Grade 6.

Game Night

All Senior Adults (62+) are invited to a Game Night at the Petra Café on Saturday, November 11, at 6 p.m. Come for corn hole, table games, and lots of fun and fellowship! Snacks and drinks will be provided. Feel free to bring table games. No need to register, just come on out!

Food Bank

We are looking for volunteers to sort and pack canned goods from an incoming donation of 3,000 pounds at our Food Bank on Saturday, November 11, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. If you're willing and able to help with this project, please contact Mike Steffy with your name and how many people will attend. Children are welcome!
