BELONG: The Journey - is our pathway to help you connect, grow, serve, and partner with your church family. The topic this Sunday is "Connect." Join us at 9:30 or 11:30 a.m. in the BELONG Room.

Fundraiser Meal- Enjoy chicken cheesesteak, macaroni and cheese, and sides at a fundraiser meal for missionaries Randy and Bonnie Martin with Preparing the Way Ministries in East Africa this Sunday at 12:30 p.m. in the Café. Take-outs will be available after the 9 a.m. service.

Our biggest outreach event of the year, Fall Fest, is on Saturday, October 29, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.! Carnival games, inflatables, tasty food, and lots of family fun are just a few of the highlights! In order to bless our community with this free event, we are going to need lots of helping hands. We currently need over 300 volunteers to help with setup, serving food, running games, tear down, and so much more! Visit the table in the atrium this Sunday to check out all the ways you can volunteer or you can sign up below. Thanks for helping us make this event a huge success!

We have designated Sunday, October 9, as Pastor Appreciation Sunday! This is a time set aside to honor our pastors for their spiritual leadership, dedication, time, and commitment. Tables will be set up in the Atrium and the Lobby to receive your notes, cards, and gifts. Our pastors are Brian & Tracy Coles, Ken Reinford, Brian Flewelling, Sharon Zimmerman, Matt & Andrea Kauffman, Dwane Reitz, Nacho & Merrilee Barrera, and Dutch & Rosa Fisher.

FALL SCHEDULE

Lipstick & Crayons


Join us for the kick-off of Lipstick and Crayons this Wednesday, October 5, at 9:15 a.m. in the Oasis! We will have delicious food, games, and giveaways!

 

Lipstick and Crayons is a program designed for women of all ages and walks of life, with a special focus on mothers. Childcare is available for children through Grade 6. Begin penciling these exciting events into your schedule by taking a look at what's coming up in the near future!

Women's Night Out


Ladies! We'd love for you to join us for a relaxing evening around the campfire next Friday, October 7, from 6-10 p.m. on the south lawn here at Petra. The night will include Nolt’s Chicken BBQ, volleyball, campfires, yard games, puzzles, and board games. Bring a friend or meet a new one! This event is for all women ages 12 and up. In the chance of inclement weather, the event will be held in the Café. No need to register, but donations will be received at the event. Please bring a lawn chair. Senior Adults

Service Project


If you have a heart to serve and bless the next generation, join us Monday, October 10 at CrossNet Youth Center to organize hats, coats, gloves, and scarves to distribute to the youth of New Holland. This service project will begin at 11:00 a.m. and end at 2:00 p.m. If you have any questions about this event, please contact Calvin and Connie Buckwalter at clbuckwalter1@frontier.com. We’d love to see you there!

Regional Event

Fellowship Meal


Everyone in regions A & C (New Holland East including East Earl and New Holland West areas) are invited to a Fellowship Meal on Sunday, October 9 in the Petra Café from 1 - 4 p.m. The main dish and drinks will be provided as well as ice cream for dessert. Please bring one or two side dishes to share. There will be a piñata and other games for the children. Please RSVP to Laurie Eadline at 717-725-8903.

Global Missions

Mission Prayer Focus


Marta Estrada is a Petra missionary, serving as the Director of Restoration of the Nations. This ministry seeks to bring freedom and healing to women around the world who struggle with addiction. Pray for God’s direction, wisdom, health, and provision over her ministry. Also, pray for God’s leading as she spends the next several weeks in the States connecting with her family and supporters.

Help Needed


Tina Moore is a Petra missionary serving in Guatemala. Her mother is in the hospital with some health issues. To help Tina and her family during this challenging time, we are looking for volunteers to provide some meals for Tina’s father. Meals can be brought to church on a Sunday morning and Tina’s sister, Crystal, will make sure they get delivered to her father. Click below to provide a meal. Thank you in advance, Petra Family!

Missions Fundraiser


Ten Million for Christ, directed by Jeremy Leaman, will be hosting a Football Extravaganza and Chicken BBQ at Petra on Saturday, October 8, on the Petra fields. Come for delicious Yost chicken barbecue any time from 10:30 a.m. until sold out. The cost is $5 for a chicken quarter and $10 for a meal. While you’re here, enjoy some games of 6-on-6 flag football as well as a Junior Football Combine! If you’re 17+ and would like to create or join a team to play in the Flag Football Tournament, please register here by this Saturday, October 1. If you're ages 9-14 and would like to compete in a fun NFL-style passing, punting, and 40-yard dash competition, register here by this Wednesday, October 5.

Hopewell Network

Hopewell Network Conference


Everyone is invited to the 2022 Hopewell network conference on Friday, October 14, here at Petra! The theme is “Living and Leading in the Power of the Holy Spirit.” The speakers will be Luke Weaver, Director of YWAM Lancaster, and Pastor Mark Jayakumar, from Rays of Peace in South India. If you’re interested in the daytime sessions, please register below. The free evening session begins at 7 p.m. and is open to anyone!

DOVE Global


The 2022-23 DOVE Global Leadership and Ministry School, in partnership with the Hopewell Network, will offer its second-weekend intensive on Friday evening and Saturday, October 14 and 15, at Petra in the Oasis. The times are Friday from 6:30 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The theme is “Fivefold Ministry and New Testament Leadership." The cost is $75 for an application fee and $125 for each weekend intensive; the cost for a married couple is $215 per weekend. Partial scholarships from Petra are available for Petra attendees. Eastgate House Of Prayer Fundraiser


Eastgate House of Prayer's annual Fundraiser Auction is TOMORROW in Petra’s Gym! The food stand will open at 5:30 p.m. and the auction will begin at 6.
