This Sunday

We look forward to seeing you this Sunday as we continue our My Morning Devos series! Pastor Brian Flewelling will provide us with some practical tools to help anyone easily read and understand the Bible. He will also provide ways we can connect to God in the truths his Word communicates. Join us for a very applicable message titled "How to Read the Bible."

Communion - We will be taking communion this Sunday! Please pick up your prepackaged communion elements from the table as you enter the Sanctuary or Balcony. All Kingdom Kids volunteers serving outside the Sanctuary are welcome to take communion in the SLC Staff Room.

Thanksgiving Day - The Church Office will be closed next Thursday for Thanksgiving. Please note that Young Adults will NOT be meeting next Thursday night.

We need YOUR help!

Do you love Christmas and decorating for it? We're looking for lots of volunteers to help us transform the church building for the holiday season on Wednesday, November 29, beginning at 8 a.m. Whatever time frame you'd be available to help is much appreciated! Lost & Found

Are you missing something? Please take a moment on a Sunday morning to check the Lost and Found cabinet in the Guest Services Hub to see if anything belongs to you.

We currently have a bunch of coats, jackets, sweatshirts, travel coffee mugs, Bibles, water bottles, pens, and toys. Also, be sure to check the kids' lost & found table in the Student Life Center. Items not claimed by the end of December will be donated to a charitable organization. Thank you!

Operation Christmas Child Update

Wow, church! THANK YOU! We're excited to report that we dedicated 380 shoeboxes from Petra families this past Sunday! Since Monday, we’ve received another 1,940 shoeboxes at Petra's Drop-Off Center for a total of 2,320 boxes! Thank you for your generosity! We are so excited to bless over 2,300 kids this Christmas season!

You can still drop off your shoeboxes at our Drop-Off Center until Monday at 11:30 a.m.

IT'S HERE!!!

Will we see you tomorrow night?! This regional all-night event for high school and middle school students (grades 6-12) begins tomorrow at 7 p.m. and goes until 7 a.m. on Saturday. It starts at Petra with a live concert by Riley Clemmons and Jonathan Traylor! At midnight, everyone will head to Spooky Nook, where the fun continues with arcade games and sports. The event concludes at 7 a.m. after breakfast at Shady Maple Smorgasbord. The cost is $60 per student. This is your last chance to join the fun!

Petra Families and students in Grade 5 are invited to attend the concert portion (7-10 p.m.) for $30/ticket. Get your tickets below!

November Men's Breakfast

All guys 13+ are invited to join us this Saturday at 7 a.m. for Men’s Breakfast at Shady Maple! This month’s speaker is Daniel Smucker. Daniel is a business owner, father, and husband. He will be sharing about his Amish upbringing, heart for foster care, and how his passion for leather products began. We look forward to seeing you this month at Men’s Breakfast! The cost is $10; please pay onsite.

Senior Adults Christmas Brunch

All Senior Adults are invited to our annual Christmas Brunch at Petra on Saturday, December 2, at 8:30 a.m. in the Café. Come for delicious food, great fellowship, and to see chalk art come to life through Elva Hurst’s creative hand. The cost is $12 per person. Fall FREEDOM Conference

If you are currently in a FREEDOM Group or have not yet attended a FREEDOM Conference, this is your chance to experience a powerful day of prayer, healing, and encouragement! Here are some comments from participants of our Spring FREEDOM Conference this past April.

The Extraordinary Give

As many of you know, the Extraordinary Give is this Friday. Many in our community look forward to this time of year to show their love and support to the nonprofit organizations throughout Lancaster County that they appreciate!

Again this year, there are policies surrounding the day of Extra Give that have remained from last year and have caused a few of the ministries Petra supports to continue not participating. Two local ministries we support, who we know are not a part of the Extraordinary Give again this year, are Align Life Ministries and CrossNet. We don’t want them to be forgotten, so we’ve made it easy for you to still support them this Friday, or anytime, by providing their giving links below.

Mission Trip Opportunity

Do you have a passion for the next generation? Do you have a heart to see youth and young adults find Jesus? If so, this trip is for you! A Petra Mission Team is headed to Kenya from April 19 – May 3, 2024. This team will partner with Petra missionaries Randy & Bonnie Martin, who founded and lead Preparing the Way Ministries. They will minister to and participate in activities with hundreds of Kenyan youth and young adults at a youth camp. This trip is open to men and women ages 18+. If interested, please join us this Sunday at 10:15 a.m. in Room North 124 for an informational meeting.

Young Adults Mission Trip Opportunity

A team of Young Adults is headed to Kenya from February 2-15, 2024. This team, led by Pastor Ken Reinford, will also be partnering with Petra missionaries Randy & Bonnie Martin. This trip will include street evangelism and construction of a new church building. No construction experience is required, but we do ask for a willingness to serve! This trip is open to young adults ages 18-30. More info can be found below. Application deadline is Tuesday, November 28.
