This Sunday

This Sunday is one of our favorites. It's Baptism Sunday! Join us in celebration as 12 brothers & sisters in Christ take the next step on their spiritual journey by making a public declaration to live for Jesus! Lead Pastor Brian Coles will also kick off a new three-part series we're calling My Morning Devos, with a message titled "Prayer: Taking Time to Talk and Listen."

BELONG: The Journey will not be meeting this 

Sunday. There will also be no Children's 

Church for kids in K-Grade 4; they will be 

joining their grown-ups in the Sanctuary.

Operation Christmas Child - This Sunday is our Operation Christmas Child Shoebox Dedication! Kids, please bring in your filled shoeboxes complete with labels. Pay for shipping online.

Fundraiser Meal - Enjoy chicken cheesesteaks, salad, macaroni salad/coleslaw, chips, and dessert at a fundraiser meal this Sunday at 12:30 p.m. in the Café for Petra missionaries Randy & Bonnie Martin, who founded and lead Preparing the Way Ministries in Kenya. Take-outs will be available after the 9 a.m. service.

Operation Christmas Child Drop-Off Center Hours

Next week, November 13-20, is the National Collection Week for Operation Christmas Child, and Petra Church is one of the prime Drop-Off Center locations.

Can you believe The Rally is next weekend?! If you have not yet registered your youth, please do so ASAP so our team can plan accordingly. 

Middle and High Schoolers (Grades 6-12), don't miss our annual All-Night Regional Event at 7 p.m. next Friday, November 17, here at Petra Church! This year, enjoy live concerts by Riley Clemmons and Jonathan Traylor! The all-nighter also includes games, worship, teaching, four hours at Spooky Nook Sports, and ends with breakfast at Shady Maple! Pickup is at Petra Church at 7 a.m. on Saturday, November 18. The cost is $60 per student. Invite your friends and get your tickets! It's going to be awesome!

Friendsgiving

Are you between the ages of 18 and 28 and looking for a fun dinner party this holiday season? Petra Young Adults invites you to a Friendsgiving next Thursday, November 16, at 7 p.m. in the Oasis. Join us for a time of community, games, and, of course, turkey! Invite a friend and bring your favorite Thanksgiving dish to share. We can’t wait to see you at this holiday extravaganza!

Lipstick & Crayons

You're invited to join us this Wednesday at 

9:15 a.m. in the Oasis, as Steph Flewelling will be sharing her testimony with us. We hope to see you there!

Lipstick and Crayons is a program designed for 

women of all ages and walks of life, with a 

special focus on mothers. Childcare is 

available for children through Grade 6.

November Men's Breakfast

All guys 13+ are invited to join us for Men’s Breakfast at Shady Maple on Saturday, November 18, at 7 a.m. This month’s speaker is Daniel Smucker. Daniel is a business owner, father, and husband. He will be sharing about his Amish upbringing, heart for foster care, and how his passion for leather products began. We look forward to seeing you this month at Men’s Breakfast! Fall FREEDOM Conference

If you are currently in a FREEDOM Group or have not yet attended a FREEDOM Conference, this is your chance to experience a powerful day of prayer, healing, and encouragement! Here are some comments from participants of our Spring FREEDOM Conference this past April...

Mission Trip Opportunity

Do you have a passion for the next generation? Do you have a heart to see youth and young adults find Jesus? If so, this trip is for you! A Petra Mission Team is headed to Kenya, April 19 – May 3, 2024. This team will partner with Petra missionaries, Randy & Bonnie Martin who founded and lead Preparing the Way Ministries. They will minister to and participate in activities with hundreds of Kenyan youth and young adults at a youth camp. This trip is open to men and women ages 18+. If interested, please join us on Sunday, November 19, at 10:15 a.m. in Room North 124 for an informational meeting.

DOVE Global

The 2023-24 DOVE Global Leadership and Ministry School, in partnership with the Hopewell Network, will offer its third-weekend intensive tomorrow (Friday) evening and Saturday in the Oasis. The times are Friday from 6:30 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The theme is “Helping People Find Freedom." The cost is $75 for an application fee and $125 for each weekend intensive; the price for a married couple is $215 per weekend. Partial scholarships from Petra are available for Petra attendees.
