Pastor Dave Hess and his wife Sheri serve as senior leaders of Christ Community Church, a vibrant fellowship of Jesus-followers in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania. He is the author of three books, Hope Beyond Reason, Hope Beyond Disappointment, and Side by Side: Women and Men Leading Together in the Church.

Dave and Sheri enjoy ministering together, doing life together, and spending time with their growing family—three children, their spouses, and five grandchildren. Their rescue dog, Hayley, rounds out the crew!

Join us in celebrating 18 brothers and sisters in Christ who are getting water baptized at the New Holland Pool this Sunday at 8 p.m.! Everyone is welcome to arrive at 6:30 p.m. and swim free of charge until 8 p.m. and then again after baptism until 9:15 p.m. Please sign in as a Petra attendee when you arrive. Light snacks and drinks will be provided!

It's That Time of Year!

Petra’s 14th Annual Cruise In is happening on Sunday, July 30, from 1-4 p.m., rain or shine! There will be over 200 vehicles on display, including cars, trucks, motorcycles, rat rods, and semis. Food and drinks will be available for purchase throughout the day from a variety of food trucks. Join us for an afternoon filled with music, door prizes, food trucks, and lots of family fun! Admission is FREE. We'd love to see you there! 

Barnstormers + BBQ

All senior adults are invited to a Barnstormers game with Hess’s BBQ on Tuesday, August 1, at the Clipper Magazine Stadium in Lancaster. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., and the game begins at 6:30. Tickets are $29 a person and are available on a "first come, first serve" basis. Be sure to register below or at the Resource Hub by this Sunday!

SEND WEEK

Leading up to THE SEND gathering on August 5, Petra is partnering with YWAM Lancaster for "Send Week," a 5-day outreach from Monday, July 31 to Friday, August 4.

Every night, worship and training experiences curated by THE SEND will be held at the YWAM Lancaster Base. All are invited. Registration is required for all training sessions and collaborative outreach. To attend a training session or volunteer during "Send Week," see below.

The goal for this week is to saturate our cities with strategic outreaches to impact our region with the love of Jesus leading up to THE SEND gathering on August 5.

Petra will provide volunteers on Tuesday, August 1, for the evening worship gathering at the YWAM Lancaster Base. If you would like to volunteer to usher for the evening, please get in touch with Kris Flewelling.
