What a powerful series Called has been! We've learned so much about how to build relationships, grow in ourselves, and lead others to spiritual maturity. This Sunday, we're looking forward to another great morning. Join us for the finale of our Called Sermon Series with a message from Lead Pastor Brian Coles titled "By My Spirit."

Fundraiser Meal - Enjoy Yost Chicken BBQ at a fundraiser meal this Sunday at 12:30 p.m. in the Café in support of Petra missionaries Les & Suzanne Yoder, who run AgConnect Ministries. Take-outs will be available after the 9 a.m. service.

Petra Fall Fest

It's BIG, and it's almost here! Next Saturday, October 28, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., thousands of community members will be gathered on our fields to enjoy an afternoon of fun with inflatables, including a Jungle Safari Playland Maze, 68’ Mega Obstacle Course, and Whack a Mole, face painting, carnival games, prizes, a preschool patch, free food, entertainment by Ryan & Friends, cozy campfires, and so much more! Are you excited? Because we're excited!!

We're SO close to our goal! Below is a list of the last volunteer roles we need to fill before next Saturday.

• 22 for carnival games
• 21 for inflatables
• 5 for face painting (must be 16+)
• 6 for the Preschool Patch
• 4 for food
• 1 for the photo booth
• 10 for tic tac toe / checkers / archery
• 16 for parking
• 3 for first aid (experience required)

...and additional volunteers to help set up on Thursday morning, Friday morning & afternoon, and Saturday morning, as well as cleanup on Saturday beginning at 3 p.m. We also need lots of bakers willing to make the remaining cookies and whoopie pies needed (57 dozen)!

This Sunday is the LAST day the Fall Fest tables will be set up in the Atrium for volunteer sign-ups, or you can sign up below. We are so grateful for your consideration and really couldn't do it without you! Thanks again to all who have already signed up to help us make this event a huge success!

Water Baptism

Did you know that water baptism is a public declaration that symbolizes dying to yourself and gaining a new life in Christ? Our next water baptism will take place on Sunday, November 12. If you're interested in taking this next step on your spiritual journey, please plan to attend a class either next Sunday, October 29, at 9 a.m. or on November 5 at 11 a.m. Register below or at the Resource Hub.

Learn to steward your money well! Petra is hosting Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University this Fall. This course will be led by Ken Martin and will meet in the Petra Café at 7 p.m. on Wednesday evenings beginning November 8 through December 20. Throughout these 6 weeks, you will learn how to take control of your money, get out of debt, and create a plan for your future. Through video teaching, class discussions, and interactive small group activities, FPU presents biblical, practical steps to get from where you are to where you've dreamed you could be. Guest Speaker on Tuesday!

If you missed this past week’s documentary video, Hope in the Holy Land, chronicling the current conflict between Israel and the Palestinians, you have another opportunity to learn more!

Join us this Tuesday, October 24, in the Summit at 7 p.m. as we hear from guest speaker Kelvin Crombie. Kelvin is an author and church historian who has worked for over 20 years in Jerusalem. He brings an international perspective (hailing from Australia), works with the Anglican Church’s mission to the Jews, and brings a keen awareness of the up-to-minute details of Israel’s latest war with Hamas. Operation Christmas Child

It's that time of year again! Beginning this Sunday, you can pick up a shoebox in the Atrium to fill with gifts and supplies for Operation Christmas Child! Boxes will be delivered by Samaritan's Purse to children all around the world who are in need...just in time for Christmas! You can also sign up to help with our Drop-Off Center at Petra from November 13-20. This year, we will not be having a Treasure Chest Store. A list of suggested items to purchase can also be found at the table.

Our shoebox dedication is set for Sunday, November 12.

EDGEGiving

All EDGE 56 & 78 students are invited to a festive night full of food, games, and crafts this Monday, October 23! EDGEgiving will take place from 6:30-9:00 p.m. in the Oasis and includes dinner. A special offering will be taken for Walguest, our Sponsor Child from Haiti. Cost is $10. Don't forget to register! 

Anchoredman Men's Group

All men 18+ are invited to join our Anchoredman Men's Group beginning this Tuesday, October 24. This group is for any guy looking to grow as a spiritual leader and protector of those they love most. Meetings will be held on Tuesday evenings from 7-9 p.m. in the Summit of the Student Life Center. Please use the East Entrance. There is a $10 workbook cost. October Men's Breakfast

Men’s Breakfast is a place where you can get equipped with the tools you need to grow towards God’s purpose and activate his truth in your everyday life through the testimonies of other men. All guys 13+ are invited to join us at Shady Maple this Saturday at 7 a.m. We will hear from Petra’s Assistance Ministry Leader, Ken Martin, as he shares his experience of becoming a follower of Jesus and how he walks that out in his everyday life. Ken is passionate about serving and building relationships with others and can’t wait to see you at this month’s Men’s Breakfast! The cost is $10; please pay onsite.

Region I Picnic

Everyone in Region I (Goodville/Narvon) is invited to the Region I Picnic this Saturday at 5 p.m. Lee and Darlene Stoltzfus will be hosting at their home (622 Musser School Rd, Leola, PA 17540). The rain date is this Sunday, October 22. Come on out for food, games, and fellowship with those in your community! There will be a barrel train for the kids, a candy scramble, a bonfire, and games.
