Church-Wide Events

This Sunday is Youth Sunday! Student Ministries Pastor Pastor Brian Coles will share a message called "Stories: What He's Done - What He's Doing." BELONG: The Journey - Join us this Sunday at 11:30 a.m. as we focus on "Partner." If you are interested in pursuing church membership at Petra, this is the session to come to!

Eastgate House of Prayer - Do you know your calling but aren't quite sure how to get there? Join us this Tuesday at 7 p.m. as we stream  Shawn Bolz's empowering message on accessing the provision and the often-overlooked resources God offers us to fulfill his dreams for our lives. Kara Sensenig will lead our intercession time as we pray for a release of God's purposes over our lives, our communities, and our region. Childcare is provided through age 7. All are welcome!

Fourth of July Parking Lot Outreach - The church office will be closed on Wednesday, July 4. That evening, at 7:30 p.m., we will be opening our parking lots and fields to the community to watch the New Holland Fireworks. Beverages and chips will be provided. Bring your lawn chairs and your favorite lawn games. If you would like to help with this community outreach, please contact Keida Medina at (717) 333-1019 for more information.

Child Dedication - Parents who would like to dedicate their child to the Lord on Sunday, July 29, should register online, use Realm or the Petra App, or call the church office at 717-354-5394 by July 20.

If you have the Realm App, you can add your selfie through the App: go to "More," then "Profiles," click on the camera icon, New Profile Photo. You can choose a selfie from your pictures or just click on the camera icon on the bottom and snap a photo. We look forward to seeing hundreds of smiling Petra people in our online directory! To add your photo from a computer, check out the Realm FAQS page . Keep in mind that Realm is different from the Petra App. The Petra App is our media portal as well as for resources at Petra. The Realm Connect App holds our Petra Church directory and serves as a connection platform for everyone at Petra, providing news, info, and registration opportunities for church-wide and group events. Realm also offers a smaller connection platform where you can interact securely with others in your personal group or groups. Giving is also made easier through Realm. Remember that everyone at Petra joining Realm gets a unique profile! That means that everyone needs to have a unique e-mail address. If a husband and wife currently have a joint e-mail account, one or the other will have to create a new e-mail address to join Realm. (We suggest creating a Google gmail account for yourself if you need one.) Remember too that everyone has to receive an invite before joining Realm . Senior Adult Ministry

Mini Golf + Ice Cream - If you're 62+ and would enjoy some fun and fellowship over a game of miniature golf, join us at Water's Edge Mini Golf in Bird-in-Hand this Saturday at 5:30 p.m. Have some ice cream in the snack area afterward. There's no need to register; just come! Both the golf game and the ice cream are self-pay.

Petra Women

Women's Movie Night Join us TOMORROW (Friday) night for a great night at the movies, followed by snacks and fellowship around a campfire! The movie will be shown in the Oasis beginning at 7 p.m. Feel free to bring a friend! Donations will be received at the event. Read more petra.church

2018 Petra Cruise In - Petra Men will be hosting the Ninth Annual Cruise In on Sunday, July 29, from 1 to 4 p.m., rain or shine. Enjoy cool cars, trucks, and motorcycles from both the past and the present. Food and drinks will be available for purchase throughout the afternoon. Bring the whole family! Admission is free.

Kingdom Kids

Vacation Bible School - A huge thank you to everyone who helped with VBS this year . . . you made it a stellar success! We were Shipwrecked this year and learned that no matter what comes our way, Jesus rescues!! We had between 300 and 350 kids every evening and raised $3,000 for families at ZOE Thailand. We had around 65 children receive Christ or recommit their hearts to Jesus! We appreciate all of the prayers and support we had throughout the week. VBS is truly the Body of Christ at its finest! - Andrea Kauffman, Interim Children's Ministry Leader SNAP Night at the Science Factory - Petra's SNAP Ministry is hosting a Fun Night at the Lancaster Science Factory, 454 New Holland Avenue, Lancaster, on Sunday, July 8, from 4-6 p.m. All SNAP families and SNAP buddies are invited. This is a wonderful opportunity to build friendships in a fun atmosphere. The SNAP ministry is covering the cost, so all may come for free. Snacks will also be provided.

Global Missions

Mission Prayer Focus - Pastor Luis and Alba Bohorquez give leadership to Petra Iglesia Cristiana, a church that Petra oversees in Colombia, South America. Pray for wisdom and encouragement as they seek to balance their pastoral responsibilities as well as their family business. Pray that God would raise up additional leaders to assist them in the ministry at the church. Farewell Drop-In for the Musselmans - Come and bless Ben and Kayte Musselman and family as they prepare to leave for long-term missionary service in Thailand with ZOE International! The drop-in, featuring ice cream sundaes, will be this Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Café. Sub and Pie Fundraiser - Order some delicious subs and pies from Oregon Dairy as a fundraiser for the Petra team's summer mission trip to Poltava, Ukraine. Orders will be taken at a table in the MPR lobby this Sunday . The cost is by donation. The sub options are American, ham and cheese, turkey, and Italian. The pie options are apple, cherry, and blueberry. The pick-up date is Sunday, July 22. Orders can also be placed by contacting Jen Richter at richterjen77@hotmail.com . Taco Salad Fundraiser Meal - Enjoy some taco salad for lunch this Sunday at 12:30 p.m.! This serves as a fundraiser for the High School mission teams going to Orlando, Florida, and to Puerto Rico this summer. Take-outs will be available after the 9 a.m. service.
