Church-Wide Events
Good Friday Service – Join us tomorrow (Friday) at 7 p.m. as we remember God’s promise to Abraham and its extraordinary fulfillment in Jesus. It will include worship songs, storytelling, video, communion, and a meditation by Student Ministries Pastor James Blake. It’s designed for the whole family, but childcare will be available for children from birth through Pre-K.

The Church Office will be closed tomorrow in observance of Good Friday.
Easter Sunday - Join us also this Sunday for our Easter Celebration Services! Lead Pastor Brian Coles will be bringing us a message called "Celebrating the Resurrection of Jesus Christ." We will also enjoy a praise-filled time of worship, featuring a children's choir of around 50 voices! Early Childhood and Elementary children (through Grade 4) will have Children's Church as usual, but there will be NO BELONG this Sunday.

The next session of the DOVE Global Leadership and Ministry School will take place at Petra next Friday night and Saturday, April 9 & 10. The theme is “Church Planting Boot Camp” – training for church planting that keeps the focus on expanding Christ’s Kingdom. Eastgate House of Prayer
EHOP - Join us this Tuesday at 7 p.m. as YWAM evangelist Joel Bomberger shares how God is moving across high school and university campuses in this nation! Joel is a gifted and passionate preacher who carries a powerful impartation for love, healing, and evangelism. He and his wife Amy are a part of YWAM Circuit Riders and The Send. Come and be encouraged, strengthened, and stretched! A ministry time will follow. Childcare is provided through age 7. All are welcome!

  • Numbers: In the Wilderness - Taught by Theresa Newell - Thursdays 7-9 p.m. from April 15 - May 27

  • Financial Peace University - Led by Ken Martin - Mondays 7-9 p.m. from April 12 - June 1

  • Sexual Integrity 101 - Led by Marci Dodd, Ken Reinford, and Matt Kauffman - Tuesdays 7-9 p.m. from April 13 - June 1

  • Helping Her Heal (Men’s Group) - Led by Ron Esh - Mondays 7-9 p.m. from April 12 - May 10

  • Women’s Biking Group - Led by Dana Waite - Tuesdays 6:30-7:30 p.m. and 3rd Saturdays beginning April 13

Support Group
Do you have a passion to connect with the younger generation and pass on skills in areas such as arts and crafts, music, drama, or science? The Petra Homeschool Support Group is looking for adults who would be willing to invest one hour per month, 6-7 times throughout the school year, leading hands-on clubs with 8-12-year-olds in the area of your expertise. Petra Women
2021 Women's Event - Plan now for a beautiful, courtyard-inspired Women's Event at Petra on Friday evening, April 23, called "Growing in Faith." Enjoy delicious finger food, spiritual encouragement, inspiring testimonies, and great conversation. Our speaker is Pastor Tracy Coles. This is for all women ages 14 and up. The cost is $12 per person. Register online or at the Resource Hub by April 18.
Lipstick and Crayons, a Fellowship for Moms and Children - Join us this Wednesday at 9:15 a.m. in the Oasis as Bonni Greiner discusses 15 important godly character traits to instill in our children using an enjoyable, easy, and biblical system.

The Warring Women of Zion prayer group will not be meeting this Tuesday or on April 13 but will be back again on Tuesday, April 20, from 9-11 a.m. in the Prayer Room. The focus, through worship and intercession, is on women, youth, addictions, and revival. All women are welcome.
Hopewell Summer Camps
Hopewell Summer Camps
Hopewell Summer Camp is a place where thousands of kids’ and teens’ lives have been changed through meeting God, having fun, and making life-changing friendships. There are three unique camps held each summer: a Senior High Camp (for youth who have completed grades 9-12) from June 21-25; a Junior High Camp (for youth who have completed grades 6-8) from July 12-16; and a Kids’ Camp (for kids who have completed grades 2-5 and are at least 8 years old) from August 9-13. Youth Bible Quizzing
One of Petra’s quizzing teams, Petra 1, took third place for the 2021 quizzing season, which concluded on Sunday. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, Bible Quizzing was modified this year and attendance at quizzing events was restricted to quizzers, coaches, and immediate family. Nevertheless, Petra’s 53 quizzers (9 teams) were able to compete against 51 teams with PA Bible Quizzing. Congratulations to all!
Student Ministries
Mulch Fundraiser - High School students will be doing missions with YWAM Richmond and NYSUM (New York School of Urban Ministry) this summer and are selling mulch as a fundraiser. Premium black or brown mulch will be available for $45 a yard, with free delivery. Spreading is available for an additional suggested donation of $20 per yard. Student Ministries will be enjoying an Easter break next week. EDGE 56 and EDGE 78 will meet again on Monday, April 12. High School will meet again on Wednesday, April 14.
Local Outreach
Gardeners - Apply now for a garden plot through Seeds for Hope Community Gardens. The gardens are located along Ranck Road a bit north of Airport Road. We have both raised beds and in-ground plots of various sizes, most for an annual cost of $15. Those interested can register online, at the Resource Hub, or at the Church Office. Global Missions
Mission Prayer Focus - Alan and Carol Wert and their family serve as Petra missionaries with Eastern Mennonite Missions in Wales, where they serve alongside local churches in various forms of equipping and community outreach in a multi-cultural urban setting. Pray for God’s anointing and wisdom as they seek to be salt and light, sharing God’s love to those in their community, and for perseverance as they seek to minister in the midst of ongoing COVID restrictions.
Men's Fundraiser Breakfast - Join Jeremy Leaman and the Ten Million for Christ team at Shady Maple on Saturday, April 10, from 7 to 9 a.m. for their Fourth Annual Men's Breakfast! Enjoy a full buffet-style breakfast, great fellowship, and an inspirational message from evangelist Gus Jones called “Jesus First!” Gus, originally from inner-city Cleveland, founded a local ministry called The Way, which provides Lancaster residents with a hot meal and prayer on a monthly basis.
