This Sunday – We need to be able to see ourselves as God sees us, not as we see ourselves. Join us as Pastor Brian Flewelling brings us Part 2 of the “He Loves Me” series with a message entitled “Forgiveness, Delight, and Golden Retrievers.”

BELONG: The Journey - The focus of BELONG this Sunday is on "Grow." Learn how to develop lifetime habits for spiritual growth and to help others grow as well. Meet at 9:30 or 11:30 a.m. in the Oasis.

Water Baptism - THIS SUNDAY is the final class for those who want to be baptized next Sunday, November 17. It will meet at 11 a.m. in North 132 .There will be no Children's Church for kids in K-Grade 4 next Sunday; they will join their parents in the Sanctuary.
Decorating for Christmas - Can you lend a hand to decorate the church for Christmas on Monday, November 25, starting at 8 a.m.? You can stay for all or just part of the day. Lunch will be provided by Jess Kiefski; you won’t want to miss it! We will need lots of volunteers – both men and women – at all skill levels. If you can come, please contact Sharon Zimmerman at or 717-286-3760. If you have friends who would like to help, bring them along!
EHOP - Join us this Tuesday at 7 p.m. as author, speaker, and pastor Jake Kail shares a powerful message on “The Power of Praying in Tongues.” Jake will highlight the different purposes of this gift, and how it serves as a powerful weapon of spiritual warfare. Be encouraged and strengthened through our time of corporate worship and intercession. Childcare is provided through age 7. All are welcome!
Please note that our next night of prophetic and healing prayer will be offered on November 19.
DOVE/Hopewell Ministry Training - The theme of the training tomorrow (Friday) evening and Saturday, is "Helping People Find Freedom." Learn how to set people free through Christ and make them whole in body, soul, and spirit. Partial scholarships for Petra attenders are available upon request. Marriage Ministry
All married couples under age 40 are invited to join us for our “Fall Under 40” event – a potluck dinner followed by a video teaching called " Fight Night, " by Drs. Les and Leslie Parrott. It’s set for next Saturday, November 16, in the Oasis. The potluck dinner will start at 4:30 p.m.; children will eat with their parents and then receive childcare during the teaching time. Please bring a hot dish or cold dish to share. This is a free event, but registration is required.
Episode 169: Faith in History: The Real Braveheart - A Conversation About William Wallace - William Wallace is the medieval Scottish patriot who was spurred into revolt against English tyranny. In this conversation, Pastor Gary Buck and his brother Chris separate myth from fact and discuss the real William Wallace and the role that faith played in his life.

Petra Women
Walking Group for Women - We will continue to walk, talk, and laugh together as we meet on the second Tuesday of the month from 6 to 7 p.m. through December 10. Our next walk is set for this Tuesday. You can park in the South Parking Lot and meet at the south entrance to the walking path. Feel free to bring your children.
Petra Men
Men’s Breakfast – All guys age 13 and up are invited to a breakfast at Yoder's on Saturday, November 16, at 7 a.m. Justin Watkins will be sharing his story and also what’s ahead for Men of Iron STRONG27 at Petra. As Men of Iron’s VP of Development, Justin raises awareness, relationship, and funds to support the organization. He has also served as the Regional Representative for HOPE International. Justin and his wife and four children live in Willow Street and attend Willow Street Mennonite Church. If he’s not coaching his kids' soccer teams, he's playing basketball, getting to the gym, or working on completing his MA in Biblical Studies at Evangelical Seminary.
Student Ministries
I t's BIG, and it's coming next weekend! You will not want to miss The Rally , a regional event for high school and middle school (6th-8th grade) students on November 15-16 from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.! It starts at Petra with a live concert by Hollyn, Chosen Dance Company, Beacon Light, and DJ YNOT, with worship led by a University of Valley Forge group called Pneuma. There will be games, giveaways, worship, and a message. Following that portion of the night, everyone will head to Spooky Nook, where the fun continues with activities such as rock climbing, arcades, sports, and movies. The event ends at 7 a.m. after breakfast at Shady Maple Smorgasbord. The cost is $50 per student. Learn more and register online. Parents - We need additional Petra-only volunteers to help with the “Petra portion” of The Rally next Friday from 5:30 p.m. to 1:30 a.m. Tasks will include helping with concessions, greeting, merchandise sales, and stage crew. Volunteer clearances need to be on file at Petra to volunteer for this event. If you can help, please sign up here .
Kingdom Kids
Operation Christmas Child - We will be offering our special Operation Christmas Child "Treasure Chest Store" again this Sunday in the Atrium. Kids may use their Kingdom Bucks to purchase the contents for their boxes. Cash and checks will also be accepted. Please return your filled boxes, complete with labels and $9 for shipping, in time for dedication next Sunday, November 17.
 Please note that Shoebox Dedication Day is also Baptism Sunday; children will be seated with their parents that day.
Petra is our area’s Drop-Off Center , where other churches and individuals bring their filled boxes. If you can help with drop-off the week of November 18-25, please sign up at the high table at the Operation Christmas Child display in the Atrium.
Local Outreach
2019 Extraordinary Give - Several local ministries supported by Petra are among the 500+ ministries and nonprofit community organizations that have signed up to take part in this year's Extraordinary Give. Extraordinary Give is a Lancaster County 24-hour online giving marathon taking place on Friday, November 22, from 12 midnight to 11:59 p.m. Every dollar donated online will be stretched by at least $500,000 from the Lancaster County Community Foundation and various sponsors. Global Missions
Mission Prayer Focus - Kenny and Stephanie Stoner serve part-time as Petra missionaries at the YWAM Montana base, where Kenny assists with maintenance and auto repair at the base. Pray for God’s leading as they connect with people in the community where they live. Pray for strength, health, and wisdom for them.

Fundraiser Meal - Enjoy a delicious chicken barbecue meal this Sunday with baked beans, coleslaw or applesauce, rolls, and dessert! The proceeds will go toward missionaries Les and Suzanne Yoder. Les gives leadership to AgConnect Ministries - a ministry that uses agriculture to meet the needs of people in less-developed regions of the world and empowers them to reach their own people for Christ. Take-outs will be available after the 9 a.m. service.

Concert of Prayer - Plan now for a rich time of worship and prayer on behalf of Romania and Eastern Europe at Ten Million for Christ's Concert of Prayer on Friday, November 22, from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Oasis.
Community Event
An Addiction Awareness Seminar for parents, pastors, and others caring for those in addiction will be held on Thursday, November 21, from 6:30-9 p.m. at Conestoga Church of the Brethren, Leola. Joel Jakubowski of Revelations of Freedom Ministries will offer input on the differences between enabling and support. He will also address ways to establish and/or maintain a healthier relationship with the loved one caught in addiction. There will be a panel discussion along with displays from a variety of ministries and resources. ELANCO Celebrate Recovery is serving as one of the sponsors. All are welcome.

Memorial Service
As announced earlier, our brother Buzz Steigauf transitioned to his heavenly home on October 18. Family visitation at Petra has been set for this Monday at 6:30 p.m. with a memorial service following at 7:30.
