Church-Wide Events
Petra Church is continuing to take steps to respond to the evolving coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic with the safety of our church family and the wider community as our highest priority.

As Pastor Lester communicated via email on Saturday, we have closed the Petra Campus through next Friday, March 27 . All groups and activities have been cancelled or postponed.

However, the church office will remain open as usual from Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. The pastors, staff, and counselors will be available as needed, though some may be working remotely.

This Sunday again we will be livestreaming our services at 9 and 11 a.m. and inviting you to host Church Where You Are . We have created a virtual community where we are all watching and worshipping online at the same time! You can connect to the livestream through the Petra App, Facebook, or our website at www.petra.church/live . If you are unable to view the service on Sunday, it will be posted online at petra.church/messages by Monday.

For Petra’s more comprehensive response to COVID-19, visit this page on our website. We will continue to update you as these steps evolve.

In the meantime, draw close to the Lord and cling to these declarations from Pastor Brian Coles' prayer last Sunday. Peace be with you.
Livestreaming This Sunday - Senior Pastor Lester Zimmerman will be sharing a message called "In Him I Trust." Learn how the unchangeable, unshakable, trustworthy word of our Heavenly Father can strengthen our faith and confidence in this hour.

Songs - You Are Good, You Cannot Be Stopped, How Great Is Your Love, Raise a Hallelujah, Nothing is Impossible

If you missed the service last Sunday, you may view it here .

Easter Weekend
Good Friday Service “The Promise and Provision” - Join us on Friday, April 10, as we remember God’s promises throughout Scripture and their extraordinary fulfillment through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus. The service will include worship, storytelling, video, and communion. It’s designed for the whole family, but childcare will be available for children from birth through Pre-K.
Easter Sunday Services “Jesus Reigns Over All” - Our Easter Sunday services on April 12 will include songs of celebration, a children’s choir, and a powerful message by Associate Pastor Brian Coles. Early Childhood and Elementary children (through Grade 4) will have Children’s Church as usual. Easter Sunday is a great time to invite your friends, family, neighbors, and co-workers to Petra!

Deeper Still (a Petra Lifepsring ministry partner) is a healing retreat specifically designed for women and men who have either had an abortion or who have participated in one. Our role is to help facilitate God’s healing touch in your life. This is an opportunity for you to get apart with God and receive his healing love. There will be other women and men on a similar journey joining you that weekend. The retreat will be held at beautiful Gretna Glen in Lebanon from April 24-26. There is no cost to register, but the registration deadline is April 10. Contact Marci Dodd at marcid@petra.church for an application or go online to godeeperstill.org/retreats .
Marriage Ministry
Couples’ Night Out - Couples of all ages – married, engaged, and dating – are invited to a fun, relaxed evening of food, games, and entertainment! It’s at Petra on Saturday, April 25, from 5-9 p.m. Enjoy hors d'oeuvres and desserts, archery tag, a movie, a craft, and more! The cost is by donation at the event. Childcare from 5-8 p.m. will be provided by additional donation for children ages 1 through 8, with the proceeds going toward Petra’s High School mission trips. Register online through April 20.
Petra Women
Petra Women will be hosting a beautiful Women’s Event on Friday, April 24, from 6:30-10:30 p.m. in the Atrium and Oasis. All women ages 14 and up are invited! The theme is “Releasing Women: Fully Known and Deeply Loved." The evening will open at 6:30 with cold beverages and a greeting time, followed by worship, an encouraging message by Mary Wilson, and a ministry time – capped off with food and fellowship. The cost is $15. Register online through April 19.
Petra Men
Men's Breakfast - Please note that the Men's Breakfast at Yoder's set for this Saturday, March 21, has been cancelled.
7 Challenges Men Encounter - It's getting more challenging to be a man. Our present culture is redefining manhood and confusing men in their pursuit of Biblical manhood. Learn how to respond by rejecting passivity, accepting responsibility, leading courageously, loving unconditionally, living with integrity, serving humbly, and investing eternally. This seven-week course will challenge you in all these areas and give you the resources you need to make changes that will impact every area of your life. It will be led by Pastor Matt Kauffman on Tuesday evenings at 7 p.m. from April 14 through May 26. The $10 cost will include the study guide as well as snacks and beverages. All men ages 18 and up are invited to participate.
Student Ministries
Mulch Fundraiser - High School students will be taking mission trips through YWAM to Orlando, Panama, and Barbados this summer and are selling mulch as a fundraiser. Premium black or brown mulch will be available for $45 a yard, with free delivery. Spreading is available upon request for an additional suggested donation of $20 per yard. Purchase mulch online by April 12 for the April 17 & 18 delivery. For questions, email Danae at danaej@petra.church .
Global Missions
Mission Prayer Focus - Bruce and Joyce Heckman serve as Petra missionaries with Immerge in Lancaster, helping to train and equip mission workers preparing for service among unreached peoples around the world. They also assist with outreach to local immigrant populations. Pray for God’s wisdom and guidance as they give leadership to the Immerge ministry. Pray also for provision – personally and for their ministry needs.

Banquet Cancelled - The AgConnect Ministries banquet with Petra missionaries Les and Suzanne Yoder scheduled for tomorrow (Friday) at Shady Maple has been cancelled and will be rescheduled.

Ham Ball Fundraiser Meal – Enjoy ham balls, mashed potatoes, green beans, and more at a fundraiser meal on Sunday, April 5, at 12:30 p.m. Take-outs will be available at 10:30 a.m. The proceeds will go to Andrea Beiler, who has been serving on staff at the YWAM base in Redding, California. She has committed to going on a seven-week trip to a major Muslim nation in Central Asia to translate stories from the Bible.

Mission Opportunity - A homeschool teacher is needed to help teach missionary kids in Thailand for the coming school year. A teaching degree/certification is not required. This 10 to 12 month mission assignment is teaching the children of Petra missionaries Nacho and Merrilee Barrera, who are preparing to return to Thailand with Hopewell Asia Missions. For more information, please contact Pastor Dwane at dwaner@petra.church or 717-354-5394.
