Church-Wide Events
2019 Church-Wide Fast - Our Church-Wide Fast begins this Monday and continues through Saturday, January 19. You may set your own starting and stopping times, and may also choose the type of fast the Lord is leading you to engage in. Plan now for an ACTIVATE School of Prayer on Tuesday at 7 p.m.; a Night of Worship on Friday at 7 p.m.; a Prayer Service on Saturday at 8:30 p.m., and Communion next Sunday. The specific focus for each fast day has been listed in a Family Prayer Guide, which is available for pick-up this Sunday from the Lobby and Atrium. The Prayer guide can also be viewed and downloaded by clicking here .
This Sunday - Pastor Brian Coles will be sharing a message related to our upcoming Church-Wide Fast called "Prayer and Fasting.”

BELONG: The Journey - The focus of BELONG this Sunday is on "Grow." Learn how to develop lifetime habits for spiritual growth and how to help others grow as well. Join us at 9:30 or 11:30 a.m. in the Oasis.
Come for a powerful Night of Worship next Friday, January 18, at 7 p.m. The theme, in line with our Church-Wide Fast, is “Unshakable.” We will focus on God’s grace and love that strengthen us to stand unshaken by the chaos happening around us. He is worthy to be praised! Childcare will be provided for children through age 5.
Marriage Ministry Transition - Many thanks to Ben and Marci Dodd for their years of service on Petra’s Marriage Ministry Team and for their excellent leadership this past year. Henry and Kaci Fisher have agreed to serve as the interim leaders of this ministry. Blessings to both couples as they have invested considerable time and energy to support and enrich marriages at Petra.

Christmas Eve Program - If you missed our wonderful Christmas Eve Program - or wish to enjoy it again - you can view it here or via the Petra App.

Final Check for Christmas Cards! Several hundred cards are still waiting in the Resource Center to be claimed. If you have not yet checked for Christmas cards, please do so TODAY! Even if you have checked previously, be aware that a number of cards have come in since Christmas .

Missing Something? While you're in the Resource Center, please take a moment to check the Lost and Found closet in the Resource Center to see if anything belongs to you. We have a number of jackets, sweatshirts, Bibles, mugs, and dishes. Older items not claimed by the end of January will be donated to a charitable organization.
ACTIVATE School of Prayer - Join us this Tuesday at 7 p.m. as Kara Sensenig kicks off our 2019 ACTIVATE School of Prayer with Session 1: “Encountering God Through Prayer.” Through prayer we have the ability to connect with the heart and mind of our heavenly Father. Jeremiah 33:3 says, “Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known." Don't miss out on this time of corporate prayer and worship together! Childcare is provided through age 7. All are welcome!
Are you sensing a call to ministry? If so, the DOVE Hopewell Ministry Training School is a great place to receive both knowledge and spiritual impartation. Now is a good time to enroll; there's an exceptional line-up of speakers this winter! The training this Friday at 6:30 p.m. and Saturday at 8:30 a.m. will focus on "Missions and Practical Ministry Skills." Each weekend intensive is $125 per person or $215 per married couple. Partial scholarships are available for Petra attenders. For more info, visit this website or contact Pastor Brian F .
