Church-Wide Events
This Sunday - Pastor Lester will be bringing us Part 4 of the "He Loves Me" teaching series with a message entitled "Fully Alive."

Communion - We will be sharing communion together during the morning services. All volunteers serving outside the Sanctuary are welcome to take communion by going to the Staff Work Room in the SLC.

BELONG: The Journey - BELONG is a great way to get connected at Petra! Join us this Sunday at 9:30 or 11:30 a.m. as we focus on "Partner." If you are interested in pursuing church membership at Petra, this is the session to come to!
Thanksgiving Day - The Church Office will be closed next Thursday for Thanksgiving. Please note that neither The WAKE nor Celebrate Recovery will be meeting next Thursday evening.
Eastgate House of Prayer - We are honored and excited to have Allan and Rebecca Yoder share with us this Tuesday at 7 p.m. Allan and Rebecca are co-pastors of Good Shepherd Community Church, Reamstown, and Allan serves on the Hopewell Network Apostolic Team. We look forward to the spiritual deposit that will be released through their impartation; they carry a rich history of walking with God and move powerfully in the gifts of the Spirit. Childcare is provided through age 7. All are welcome!

Episode 171: Digging in the Dirt is Spiritual - A Conversation With Les Yoder - The first man on earth was a farmer and a gardener. Les Yoder talks about the spirituality of farming, and how God uses his expertise in agriculture to reach ex-communist countries with the gospel. We also talk about his journey with cancer and how it clarified his life purpose.

Senior Adults
Senior Adults (62+) are invited to a Christmas Brunch on Saturday, December 7, at 8:30 a.m. in the Café. Come for delicious food catered by Yoder's, and bring a white elephant gift (something you don’t want anymore) for the “Now you have it, now you don’t” gift exchange. Prepare to laugh! The cost is $10 per person. Register at the Resource Hub or online by November 29.
Petra Women
Widows' Christmas Luncheon - Come for delicious food and a cookie exchange at a Christmas Luncheon for widows on Sunday, December 8, at 1 p.m. in the SLC Loft. Enjoy soups, salads, beverages, and surprise desserts! Use your Realm invitation to sign up for a food item and also a dozen cookies for the cookie exchange. If you don't have a Realm login, you can call or text Jon Ann at 717-201-6422 or Mary Ann at 717- 669-6474. Please bring a copy of your cookie recipe to the luncheon.
Student Ministries
A.C.T.I.O.N. Christmas - Petra high school students will be traveling by bus to the Ephrata Walmart on December 4 to purchase Christmas gifts and supplies in support of children living at Christ's Home in Paradise. In the meantime, they are finding creative ways to raise money for this event, such as raking leaves, babysitting, bake sales, etc. If you would like to help financially, please designate your gift to A.C.T.I.O.N. Christmas by Sunday, December 1.
Bible Quizzing - We are preparing for another BIG year with a lot of Jesus, friends, and food! We will have Thursday night practices from January 2 through March 12 and Sunday afternoon practices and evening matches from January 12 through March 8, ending with an Invitational Tournament at LBC in mid-March. Grab your friends and register online by December 11! It’s open to everyone from Grade 7-20 years old. We’ll be studying stories of Joseph and Esther this year. Any questions? Kingdom Kids
Operation Christmas Child is off to a great start! On Sunday we collected and dedicated 552 shoeboxes from Petra families. Our generous kids and families spent 1,738 Kingdom Bucks and $1,360 cash at the Treasure Chest to fill those boxes! A huge thank you to Jeff and Heidi Sauder and family for another amazing job providing thoughtful items to purchase!! Since Sunday, we’ve received another 2,196 shoeboxes at the Relay Center. Thanks to all who have helped!

Further Processing - Join Marilyn Coles as she leads a team from Petra to the Operation Christmas Child Baltimore Processing Center on Wednesday, December 4. Volunteers will meet at Petra at 10 a.m. and return around 7:30 p.m. We will sort and prepare the shoeboxes for their final stage before being shipped around the world! Local Outreach
2019 Extraordinary Give - Several local ministries supported by Petra are among the 500+ ministries and nonprofit community organizations that have signed up to take part in this year's Extraordinary Give. Extraordinary Give is a Lancaster County 24-hour online giving marathon taking place tomorrow (Friday) from 12:01 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. Visit this website for more information.
Join us as we serve our community during Christmas on Main , New Holland, on Saturday, December 7! We need a few volunteers to assist with our Barrel Train rides and to hand out candy: three helpers from 4-5 p.m. and three helpers from 5-6. Global Missions
Mission Prayer Focus - Pastors Mario and Jeanette Araya serve part-time as Petra missionaries, overseeing Peniel Ministries, which ministers to Spanish-speaking people. Much of their ministry is with churches in Central America. Pray for God’s wisdom, anointing, and provision in their ministry as they provide counsel and equipping for Spanish-speaking church leaders and others.
Concert of Prayer – Everyone is invited to an evening of worship and prayer on behalf of Romania and Eastern Europe at Ten Million for Christ’s Concert of Prayer tomorrow (Friday) at 7 p.m. in the Oasis. It’s with Jeremy Leaman, Director of Ten Million for Christ, along with Christian music producer, singer, and songwriter Barry Omar, worship leader Mandy Hershey, and speaker Tabita Quashigah. Come for a rich time of sharing, worship, and intercession as we press in for spiritual breakthrough in Romania and uphold the ministry of Ten Million for Christ.
InSTEP Slavic Tea - InSTEP Ministries International, led by Pastor Darryl and Joyce Henson, will offer a Slavic Tea on Saturday, December 7, at 6 p.m. at Petra. Enjoy Eastern European food, music, an auction, mission updates, door prizes, and a cultural theme – all in one event! Tickets are required for entry and door prizes; they are available online for $10 apiece. The Hensons are passionate about mentoring and supporting pastors internationally; this fundraiser will help provide the means to do that. An offering will be received.
Community Event
An Addiction Awareness Seminar for parents, pastors, and others caring for those in addiction will be held TODAY from 6:30-9 p.m. at Conestoga Church of the Brethren, Leola. ELANCO Celebrate Recovery is serving as one of the sponsors. All are welcome.
Petra Family News

Our dear brother Bob Buck, Sr., went to be with the Lord on Saturday. Our love and sympathy to Bob and Linda and the extended family. A memorial service will be held this Saturday at 11 a.m. at Petra.

Congratulations to Lindy Fisher as she has joined the Petra Church family as a member.
