This Sunday - Senior Pastor Lester Zimmerman will be bringing Part 4 of our TRUEish Series with a message called "The Fruit Test."
BELONG: The Journey - The focus of BELONG this Sunday is on "The Holy Spirit." We'll look at how Jesus' first disciples interacted with the Holy Spirit and how we can relate to the Holy Spirit today. Join us at 9:30 or 11:30 a.m. in the Oasis.

Pastoral Candidates – Both Matt Kauffman and Andrea Kauffman have been affirmed as Petra pastors: Matt as Small Groups Pastor and Andrea as Children’s Pastor. They will be credentialed during the services this Sunday.
Petra Memorial Park - If you have been considering the purchase of a burial plot at our Memorial Park, come to the table in the Atrium this Sunday. Pick up a packet and check out the options.
Petra Prayer - If you need prayer, or would like to pray for others, you can use our new prayer-request tool on the Petra website! To submit a prayer request, fill out the request form on the Prayer page, set your privacy choices to share as much or as little info as you want, and click “submit.” You can choose to receive notes of encouragement from people praying for you. On that page you will also be able to submit a testimony, find links to several life-giving (healing) ministries, and learn more about the many Petra prayer groups meeting each week. Eastgate House of Prayer
Join us this Tuesday at 7 p.m. for Session 6 of our ACTIVATE School of the Prophetic as Becky Jones shares on “Growing in the Prophetic.” Becky is an experienced prophetic intercessor, teacher, and speaker with a heart to teach and equip the Body of Christ in the areas of prayer, intercession, deliverance, and the prophetic. Becky, who leads the Prayer Ministry at Hopewell-Elverson, is the founder and president of Called to Pray. Childcare is provided through age 7. EHOP will be hosting a Night of Prayer for the Region on Sunday, March 1, from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the Oasis. We are excited to have two guest worship leaders: Stephen Jenks , Director of Global Operations at Eagles’ Wings, and Jamie Fitt , Director of Philadelphia Tabernacle of David.

  • Stephen, a gifted worship leader and psalmist, has ministered with Eagles’ Wings for 22 years. Through conferences and services across the United States, Europe, Central America, Asia, and the Middle East, Stephen and his wife Veronica have had the privilege of bringing tens of thousands of believers into a living encounter with the Presence and Person of Jesus Christ.

  • Jamie has been serving the Body of Christ in worship and teaching for over 20 years. He moves in breakthrough worship with a strong emphasis on prophetic worship and releasing the “song in the moment.”

Region G (Gap area) Pizza & Fellowship Night - Join us in the Café for food and fellowship next Friday, February 28, at 6:30 p.m. Pizza and drinks will be provided. Please bring a finger food to share and some table games to play, if you wish. 
Senior Adults
Senior Adults age 62 and up are invited to a Chili Dinner and Movie Night on Saturday, March 7, at 6 p.m. in the Café (meal) and Oasis (movie). Come enjoy chili and cornbread with ice cream for dessert. The movie will follow. There’s no need to sign up! Just come. Donations will be received at the event.
2020 Cleansing Stream - Are you ready to let go of past hurts and to pursue the calling that God has placed on your life? To find forgiveness, deliverance, freedom, and joy? Sign up now for the Cleansing Stream Seminar! Choose between Sunday evening classes from March 22 - May 3 from 6-8 p.m. (excluding Easter Sunday) or Tuesday evening classes from March 31 - May 5 from 7-9 p.m. Childcare through age 7 will be provided on a donation basis for both evening seminars. The One-Day Event will take place at Petra on Saturday, May 2. The cost of the one-day event is $91 per person. For more info, please visit the table in the Atrium. GriefShare - If you have experienced a deep loss, especially through the death of a family member, you are invited to a GriefShare support group. You'll view helpful DVD teachings on grief and recovery; interact with others who have experienced loss; and receive a free workbook for personal study and reflection. GriefShare begins next Thursday, February 27, at 7 p.m. Enter at the North Entrance. All are welcome at any time. Men of Iron Strong 27 - Mentorship is an intentional journey preparing men to lead strong, to love strong, and to influence with integrity. The Men of Iron Strong27 mentorship experience provides the tools and the training needed for Mentors and Protégés to grow in their faith, family, friends, fitness, and finances. Youth Bible Quizzing
The Petra teams will be quizzing at Landisville this Sunday at 6:30 p.m. The quizzing will be on Esther chapters 3:7 - 7:6. To see the complete schedule, along with standings, visit this website .
Kingdom Kids
The cars will rev up at the 2020 Pinewood Derby races in a little over two weeks! The doors open on Saturday, March 7, at 7 a.m., and the races start at 9 a.m. While you're here on Saturday, come on over to the concession stand for breakfast sandwiches, hot dogs, mac 'n cheese, snacks, beverages, and ice cream sundaes. Proceeds from the concession stand will go toward the upcoming seventh and eighth grade mission trip.
Parents, please come to the Pinewood Derby Workshop on Friday, March 6, from 6-8:30 p.m. We will help you get your car to its proper weight and size. This will help the registration process flow more smoothly on Saturday. Please enter at Gym Entrance. Thank you!
Elementary Easter Choir – Children from K through Grade 4 are invited to sing in an Easter choir during both services on Easter Sunday, April 12. The time commitment that Sunday is 9 to 11:30 a.m. Children must sign up at the Kids’ Hub either this Sunday or March 1 and be able to attend at least three practices. Practices will take place on March 8, 15, 22, and 29 in the Summit after the large group teaching.
Local Outreach
Gardeners - Apply now for a garden plot through Seeds for Hope Community Gardens. The gardens are located along Ranck Road a bit north of Airport Road. We have both raised beds and in-ground plots. The cost for an 8' X 4' or 10' X 4' raised bed is $15. In-ground plots of 12' X 20' cost $15 and 20' X 20' plots cost $25. New this year is the option of a 12’ X 10’ in-ground perennial plot (for the year) for $15. Those interested can apply for a plot online at petra.church/seedsforhope or pick up a print application from the church office. You can also apply and pay at the Resource Hub. Questions? Global Missions
Mission Prayer Focus - Barbara Stoltzfus is a Petra associate missionary ministering to the indigenous peoples of the Peten region of Guatemala. Pray for strength, encouragement, and wisdom for her as she shares God’s love with the people in various practical ways.
High School Fundraiser Meal - Enjoy a traditional Amish Wedding Dinner planned by Cordelia Stoltzfus next Sunday, March 1, at 12:30 p.m. The proceeds will go toward the High School mission trips to Orlando, Panama, and Barbados this summer. Take-outs will be available after the 9 a.m. service.
Fundraiser Banquet, AgConnect Ministries - Join missionaries Les and Suzanne Yoder at their annual banquet on Friday, March 20, at 6:15 p.m. at Shady Maple. The speaker will be Stas Boroznets, AgConnect’s Director of Operations in Moldova. There's no charge for the meal, but an offering will be received for the Moldova Farm Equipment Fund. Community Resourcing
Petra's Assistance Ministry is recommending an educational opportunity through Everence called Stewardship University . It will be held at Calvary Church on Saturday, March 7. You will be able to attend up to three workshops from a variety of tracks: stewardship, biblical stewardship, church, empowering the hurting, money and millennials, retirement, vitality for older adults, family and community, life as mission, mental health, and justice and advocacy.
