Change of Location, Senior Adult Summer Picnic - Due to the Excessive Heat Watch in effect through the weekend, the Senior Adult Summer Picnic this Saturday at 5 p.m. will be moved from the Garden Spot Village pavilion to the Petra Café. BBQ sandwiches will be provided. Please bring a dish to share, along with your favorite games to play. Come enjoy food, fun, and fellowship!

Eastgate House of Prayer - Join us this Tuesday at 7 p.m. as Becky Jones shares some helpful insights about pressing forward even "When Life Gets Messy." Becky is an experienced prophetic intercessor, teacher, and speaker with a heart to teach and equip the Body of Christ in the areas of prayer, intercession, deliverance, and the prophetic. The teaching time will be followed by an opportunity to receive ministry from Becky, her ministry team, and the EHOP Ministry Team. Childcare is provided through age 7. All are welcome!
Come and celebrate as ten brothers and sisters in the Lord are water baptized at the New Holland Pool this Sunday at 8 p.m.! They are Brittany Becker , Denny McCullough , Dylan Ratjavong , Brandon Ratjavong , Sy Ratjavong , Josh Reimers , Jennifer Golden , Terry Golden , Kierra Lapp , and Nathan Eberly . Everyone is welcome to swim without charge at the pool from 6:30 to 8 p.m., and again after the baptism until 9 p.m. Sign in when you get to the pool. Bagged veggies, apples, salty snacks, and beverages will be provided at 7.

Marriage Ministry
Imagine a refreshing weekend at the beach with your spouse! Plan now for the 2019 Marriage Beach Retreat set for September 27-29 at the Grand Hotel in Ocean City, Maryland! The theme is "Staying in Love,” featuring helpful and humorous video teachings on that topic by Andy Stanley. Addison and Dana Waite will share their marriage journey, and free time on Saturday afternoon and evening will give you an opportunity for both personal and social activities, including a bonfire on the beach. Worship on Sunday morning will be through an online connection to Petra. The cost is $285 per couple, with a $25 deposit at registration; full payment is due by August 23. Register at the West Hub by August 4 or online by August 9. If you register online, please note that you have to have a Realm login to be able to pay the deposit; otherwise, you will be charged the full amount at registration.
Regional Event
Region K (Terre Hill) will be hosting a Picnic on Sunday, July 28, at 5 p.m. at the Terre Hill Park. Join us for food and fellowship! Pulled pork sandwiches will be provided, along with beverages. and paper supplies. Please bring a hot or cold dish to share. There will be a piñata for the kids! Petra Women
Don't miss Women’s Night Out – Game Night tomorrow (Friday) from 6 to 10 p.m. at Petra – featuring pizza, wings, games, door prizes, and much more! Enjoy food, friendship, and laughter as we play games together and catch up with friends. Bring your favorite table games! There will also be volleyball in the Gym and some outdoor games, weather permitting. All women and girls age 14 and up are invited. Come on out! Friends are welcome. Donations will be received at the event.
Petra Men
Petra Men will be hosting the Tenth Annual Cruise In on Sunday, July 28, from 1 to 4 p.m., rain or shine. Enjoy cool cars and trucks from both the past and the present. Admission is free. Food and beverages will be available for purchase throughout the afternoon, including chicken barbecue, amazing hot and cold drinks from New Holland Coffee Company, and cookie dough and ice cream from Dough & Co. Bring the whole family for music, door prizes, and lots of fun!
Petra Men's Breakfast is taking a break over the summer in July and August. We are returning on September 21, when Jerry Smucker will be sharing his story.
Local Outreach
CrossNet Ministries is launching a School Supply Drive benefiting students in grades K-12 who live in the ELANCO School District. A list of items needed can be picked up at the East and West Hubs, or click on the button below. Backpacks and supplies will be available for all families who are eligible for free and reduced lunches. Please bring donations this Sunday, next Sunday, or August 4 , and place them in the marked carts at the East and West Hubs.

Also – new this year – there's an opportunity for you to participate in Backpack Sort Week ! It’s at the Youth Center at 110 West Franklin Street from Monday through Thursday, August 5-7, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and also that Friday from 8 a.m. to noon. If you would be willing to help sort, stuff, and organize backpacks, please contact Lisa at lisa@elancocross.org .
Refugee Connect is receiving household and furniture donations for a newly-arrived Syrian refugee family. This young family of five arrived in the US with very little; join us as we help this family set up their home. If you are interested in contributing, please click on the button below for a list of items needed. Donations will be received at the table in the Atrium this Sunday and next Sunday . Global Missions
Mission Prayer Focus - Pray for Brad and Lori Ortenzi , Petra missionaries serving with ZOE International, helping to combat human trafficking. Pray for grace in their continued adjustments as they transition to their stateside roles (serving as Eastern USA Regional Director and Coordinator for ZOE). Pray also for refreshment after the intensity of the bicycle Race Across America in which they participated last month to raise funds for ZOE.
 
Chicken Barbecue Meal - Come for delicious chicken barbecue, baked beans, macaroni salad, applesauce, and dessert this Sunday at 12:30 p.m. This is a fundraiser for the Prayer Mission Team (Mike Ingold, Alyssa Waite, Nancy Eberly, James Richter, Lydia Landis, and Janice Baldauf) which will be serving in Romania from September 11-19 with Jeremy Leaman, Director of Ten Million for Christ. Take-outs will be available at 10:30 a.m.
