This Sunday - Join us as Petra Elder Rob Heagy teaches from James 5 on "Possessions, Perseverance, and Prayer." This is the final message in our James Series. The next series, beginning August 9, will focus on the Holy Spirit.

Additional Sunday Morning Option – Our Oasis Services are specifically designed for those who prefer an environment with mandatory masks, social distancing, and a touch-free environment. If you wish to join this service environment, please enter at the Gym Entrance. This service will be held with both the 9 and 11 a.m. services on Sunday mornings via livestream from the Sanctuary.

Eastgate House of Prayer
Join us this Tuesday at 7 p.m. as Kristina Flewelling and her team lead us in a time of Worship with the Word , using Psalm 30 as our scriptural base. Worship with the Word is a prayer format in which we agree with God’s heart as we sing through a biblical passage, focusing on God’s truth and his promises. Prophetic and healing ministry will be available for anyone who is interested. Simply sign in when you arrive. All are welcome! 

Childcare is provided for all children through age 7. We are following Petra's Children's Ministry protocol. See the Guidelines for Regathering under Kingdom Kids below.

Marriage Ministry
Come, enjoy the beach, and take fresh delight in your marriage! Plan now for the 2020 Marriage Beach Retreat set for October 2-4 at the Grand Hotel in Ocean City, Maryland. The retreat will feature helpful and engaging video teachings along with opportunities for both personal and social activities. The cost is $285 per couple, with a $25 deposit at registration; full payment is due by September 11. Register online or through Realm by September 8 (note new registration deadline).
Lifespring Ministry
GriefShare - If you have experienced a deep loss, especially through the death of a family member, you are invited to a GriefShare support group. You will view helpful DVD teachings on grief and recovery; interact with others who have experienced loss; and receive a free workbook. GriefShare is meeting on Tuesdays at 7 p.m. through August 25. Meet in Room 405 in the Student Life Center; enter at the South Entrance. All are welcome at any time.
Petra Prayer
Saturday Night Prayer - You are invited to join us here via Zoom every Saturday from 8 to 9 p.m. as we pray for the Petra Church family and for our local and regional community needs.
Petra Men
Petra Men will be hosting a first-ever Promise Keepers Global Digital Experience tomorrow (July 31) from 7-10 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. (note the time changes on Saturday). This event, called Promise Keepers 2020 , will include keynote speakers Tony Evans, Mark Batterson, and Steve Arterburn with worship leaders Michael W. Smith, Danny Gokey, and Phil Wickham. Don’t miss these timely messages of hope, unity, and transformation directed straight to the heart of men! Admission is free. Register online .
Kingdom Kids
Early Childhood Classrooms are now staffed and open on Sundays during both the 9 and 11 a.m. services for children from birth through Pre-K . Please click on the button below for our regathering guidelines.

Local Outreach
Father’s Heart , a residential program led by Pastor Ken Reinford in support of young men in their recovery and healing journeys, would like to thank all the volunteers who invested their time and finances toward recent home renovations. Global Missions
Mission Prayer Focus - Chris and April Zimmerman are Petra missionaries serving on staff with YWAM Lancaster, a new YWAM base here in Lancaster County. They also give oversight to PA Mission Builders. Pray for God’s leading, blessing, and provision as they help to prepare for YWAM Lancaster’s first discipleship training school in September.

Missions Fundraiser – Shady Maple Smorgasbord is partnering with Petra Missionaries Randy and Bonnie Martin by donating $1 for every meal purchased on Tuesday, August 11 and Wednesday, August 12. Randy and Bonnie serve with Preparing the Way Ministries in East Africa. The proceeds of this particular fundraiser will help Randy and Bonnie provide food for the hungry and share the love of Jesus. Come on out and enjoy a meal at Shady Maple one of those days!
Regional Event - Men of Iron
Men of Iron will be hosting “A Night Out” at Petra on Friday, August 21, with a rain date of Saturday, August 22. You will not want to miss this outdoor event, which includes a drive-in movie, a BBQ dinner catered by Speckled Hen, Penny’s Ice Cream truck, and more! This fundraising event will launch Men of Iron’s RESTORE Series. The featured movie is I Still Believe , based on the compelling, real-life story of singer Jeremy Camp. The cost per ticket is $40. Bring your whole family, your friends, or make it a date night! Buy your tickets here by Sunday, August 9.
