Once again, Democrats have spent another week attempting to peddle President Biden's big-government through Congress - cramming in last-minute votes on President Biden's Build Back Better agenda and their GND so-called "Infrastructure" Bill. If these bills pass, all hard-working Americans will suffer tax increases, energy and manufacturing jobs will be outsourced out of the country, half a trillion dollars will be spent on misguided green new deals policies, and our children and grandchildren will be saddled with unbearable debt due to the countless other big-government programs.
As we saw this past week on the national stage in places like Virginia and New Jersey, the American people are rejecting these terrible policies. Here on the Hill, I am standing with you to protect parents, safeguard freedoms, and keep your money in your wallet.
Standing Up for Texans
With the Biden Administration at the helm, our country is facing more threats than ever before. More than 1.7 million immigrants have poured into our country in a single year. Biden’s solution to this problem? Payoffs of $450,000—nearly half a million dollars—to reward illegal immigrants who broke our laws and criminally crossed the border.
I am supporting the Illegal Immigration Payoff Prohibition Act - to block President Biden from cutting the $450,000 checks.
This week President Biden also announced his tyrannical OSHA rule to force COVID-19 vaccines on workers across our country. No one should be forced to lose their job if they choose to make a different medical decision than President Biden. Our economy is already suffering a major supply chain crisis, labor shortage, and spiking inflation. Mass layoffs due to the vaccine mandate will destroy lives and further damage our economy.
I’m in the process of introducing legislation to rescind this unconstitutional OSHA mandate, and I have been working diligently against this tyrannical mandate since it was first brought up by President Biden.
In September, I introduced the Health Freedom for All Act, to clarify that OSHA does not have the authority to force employers to mandate COVID-19 vaccines or testing.
I have also authored and signed multiple letters to President Biden and the Biden Administration highlighting the impact of the mandate on healthcare workers, border patrol, first responders, and more.
I will continue to use all tools available to fight against this extreme mandate.
