Phantom Wine and Phantom Tea are our largest fundraisers of the year, and

we need your help ! Chromosome 18's 2018 Phantom Tea & Phantom Wine are finally here, and we can't wait to get started!

Phantom Tea & Wine materials are being in early November, which means some of you will be receiving your materials as soon as next week. Take a few minutes to review this email, so you understand everything that is being mailed to you and your family!

What are Phantom Events?

Our 22nd Annual Phantom Tea and 2nd Annual Phantom Wine raised over

$90,000 in 2017 for Chromosome 18 Research! As our largest and most important fundraiser of the year, this is a time that you can get involved to make an impact on families through research, education and just helping families come

together. Thank you to all that have participated by donating and raising funds. It's just as easy to help again this year. Our achievable goal for this year is $120,000 and by carrying the momentum of last year's Phantom Wine event, we can do it!

Each December, we host our annual, year-end fundraiser called "Phantom Tea" and recently we added "Phantom Wine" with great success. These virtual tea and wine parties allow members, friends, and family to join together and raise funds for chromosome 18 research in hopes of making chromosome 18 conditions

the first treatable chromosome abnormalities. During this time, we ask our members to invite their family and friends to a tea or wine party (virtual or actual). On Sunday, December 2nd, people around the world will sip tea or wine in honor of those we care about with a chromosome 18 condition.

Why Participate?

80% our funding comes directly from Chromosome 18 families and their supporters who want to make a difference in the lives of every affected person and their loved ones.

Without your help, Chromosome 18 wouldn't be able to fund chromosome 18 research, provide resources, or host regional and national events to connect you with other Chromosome 18 families.

How to Participate

All U.S. Chromosome 18 members will receive a Phantom Tea and Wine invitation packet sent to their address in early November. Upon special request, packets can be sent to addresses in Canada and Mexico. Invitations, wine labels, and

instructions can be printed or you may participate virtually (see links below).

If you would like additional supplies, email us at office@chromosome18.org or call (210) 657-4968 and we will send you out additional invitations and supplies.

$10 buys liquid Nitrogen for 1 tank for 1 week
$50 buys enrollment for a US family
$500 buys establishing genetic cell lines for 1 family
$1000 buys 1 person's microarray
$10,000 buys 1 comprehensive clinical evaluation
