Dear Business Peoria Business Owners!

On June 9th, the Peoria City Council approved the proposal to provide relief funding to Peoria based businesses negatively impacted by the SAR-COV2 corona virus. A press release issued by the Community Development Department outlines the funding available as:
  • Maximum Award $15,000 (businesses with 6-50 employees)
  • All other businesses eligible for up to $7500

The application period to apply will:
Begin at 8:00 a.m. June 22, 2020 and Ends at 3:00 p.m. on July 2, 2020

Should I apply for the Small Business Assistance Program?

We have provided some general guidelines to help business interested in applying for assistance understand the details related to the Small Business Assistance Program. This is not designed to be an exhaustive list of requirements but should serve as sufficient guidance to inform you about eligibility requires.

To be eligible, businesses must meet the following criteria:
  • Located within the corporate boundaries of the City of Peoria
  • 1 - 50 total employees (including the owners)
  • Operational as of April 2019
  • Were operating as of March 2020
  • Demonstrate loss of revenues due to COVID-19
  • Show you have applied for other financial assistance

Additional criteria may apply, but this is a general guideline for you to consider applying if you meet the above criteria.

Ineligible Businesses:
  • Non-profits
  • Businesses that did not comply with Governor's executive order to cease operations
  • Businesses who failed to keep sufficient tax, books and records for (2019,2020)
  • Business involved in cannabis
  • Private clubs
  • Business with gambling revenues above 33% threshold
  • Business involved in sale and or manufacture of tobacco, vaping, liquor, sexually explicit materials, firearms, Pawn shops and title loans.......
