Phase 3 Reopening of RCSD Schools

In-person learning for Phase 3 students in grades 7 – 12.

DETAILS:
Approximately 2,896 students will be returning to hybrid/in-person learning for Phase 3 of the Rochester City School District’s reopening plan next week. 

This includes 7 – 12 students enrolled at all secondary schools (15) and programs in the District and the 7 – 8 students enrolled at all Pre-K – 8 buildings (10) in the District. This population includes students in general, bilingual, and special education programs. 

In January, approximately 325 K – 12 students in specialized programs returned to hybrid/in-person learning across the District. Additionally, on Monday, February 5, approximately 4,150 students in general, bilingual, and special education programs returned to hybrid/in-person learning across the District. 

Media must arrive no later than 7:45 a.m. Thursday, February 25 to ensure everyone’s safety. 

7:45 a.m. – Media Arrival (please park by the athletic fields to the left of the building not in front of the building near the bus loop. Walk to exit 7, the closet exit to the left of the flag pole in front of the school)

8:00 a.m. – Buses arrive with students (Space will be made available by exit 7 for media to shoot video of buses arriving with students walking into the building)

8:30 a.m. – School starts (Shortly after school starts, Principal Dave Passero will be available for interviews outside of the school.)

No footage will be taken inside of the school. B-roll of students inside the building will be provided later in the morning.
