Today is the day! Illinois entered into Phase 5 of the Restore Illinois plan. Governor Pritzker stated, “[Phase 5] will mean businesses, large-scale events, conventions, amusement parks, and seated-spectator venues, among others, will be able to operate at full capacity for the first time since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.”

Full guidelines can be found here. In short, capacity limits on all sectors of the economy are removed. Fully-vaccinated individuals do not have to wear a mask except in specific settings. Unvaccinated individuals should continue to wear a mask and face covering.

As of June 9, 2021, 50.85 percent of Illinois’ population aged 12 and older is fully vaccinated.
