Celebrating all things phenology!

Hi USA-NPN,

Thank you for joining us for Phenology Week! We had a great time talking with you yesterday during Theresa's Plantside chat, and are looking forward to seeing you at our webinars today!

We have also completed our 2023 Annual Report! There is so much that has been achieved in the field of phenology thanks to your observations and efforts.

If you're just tuning in, every day this week we will let you know about our upcoming talks, a daily #PhenologyWeek challenge, and highlights from some of our top observers! If you would like to share your experiences with us, we would love for you to send an email, or tag us on social media! Access our media kit here.

Thank you so much for your continued efforts and support! We truly could not have accomplished so much in these past 16 years without you.

Gratefully,

Tuesday's #PhenologyWeek challenge

Draw your #PhenologyPhriend

This Tuesday, we challenge you to practice some #NatureJournaling! Find your #PhenologyPhriend from Monday’s challenge and make an art piece with your Phriend as the model. When we stop to take the time and observe the plants around us, we learn to appreciate them more and notice the subtle ways that they show us who they are. You can portray your plant however you like (draw, paint, sculpt, etc.), just be creative! At the end of the week, @usa_npn will share your #PhenologyWeek posts and pieces.

If you would like to track the seasonal changes of your plant with #NaturesNotebook, create an account at naturesnotebook.org, add your site and plant, and learn how to collect phenology data that researchers can use to study seasonal patterns of plants and animals.

More to come this week!
