August 2019 Calendar
Election Results are In!  We welcome our New and Returning Board Members for 2019-2021 

We are excited to welcome the addition of four new board members: Mitsi Andrews, Phyllis Kennebeck, Elaine McCoy and Christine Smith.

We also welcome the following changes to our board's Executive Committee.  Niki Mott will be our new chapter president.  She is joined by Sandy Krikos-Engelke, as 1st vice chair, Christine Smith, as 2nd vice chair, Mary Athanites as treasurer, Angelique as assistant treasurer, Mitsi Andrews as recording secretary, Dianne Sweeney as corresponding secretary and Klea Kappos as advisor.

Congratulations to each of these board members on their new roles, and a huge thank you to outgoing President Klea Kappos and all of the other board members and Executive Committee members who just finished serving in their terms and contributed greatly to our philanthropic mission.

The first full board meeting will be held in the multi-purpose room beneath the cathedral. We will discuss new initiatives and events - please bring your ideas and your calendars! Lunch will be served.

F ollowing the Lamentation services at 7:00 pm, Philoptochos will be hosting the coffee hour.  Members are being asked to please bring a lenten item to share.  If you are uncertain about what to bring, many lenten recipes can be found in our Philoptochos cookbook!

Back to School Drive

Our annual Philoptochos Back to School Drive is in full swing right now. Please help us help students at McMeen Elementary School with much needed school supplies. Let's ensure that these students have the best opportunity and access to quality supplies to Learn and Succeed.

Discover the Secrets of Greek Cuisine
Philoptochos presents hands-on cooking classes.  Prepare classic Greek dishes then dine on the sumptuous meal. Open to the public so register now.
  • Stuffed grape leaves, salad, souvlaki, veggies, potatoes and more! Each class is $75 per person.  Times will vary throughout the upcoming year.
