Phishing Email Alert The Division of Real Estate and Professional Licensing has been made aware of a recent email distributed to stakeholders from what appears to be the Ohio Secretary of State. The subject line reads "State of Ohio Board of business/professional licensing Important Notice." The message instructs recipients to verify their profiles before renewing their licenses. This email was not from the Secretary of State and appears to be a phishing attempt. If you receive the email, do not click any links and report it to your IT department, click the Phish Alert button in the top right corner of your email (if you have one) or simply, delete it. The Secretary of State is NOT requiring businesses to validate their profiles. Below is a screenshot of the email.
