Bee Power at Home: Easy Apitherapy Remedies for Your

Pet Bird’s Health with Joërg Mayer, DVM

Dr. Mayer's goal is to give us simple, safe, evidence-backed ways to start using bee products at home — as complementary support for immunity, wounds, digestion, and everyday wellness. Bees create amazing superpower substances that are antibacterial, antiviral, immune-boosting, and gut-friendly. Dr. Mayer is a Professor of Zoological Medicine at the University of Georgia. He has developed an expertise on how bees and apitherapy can be used as an added tool for prevention and treatment. 

Education Day: The Power of Good Information!

Spend the day with us learning about nutrition, behavior, training, enrichment, and a growing medical challenge - metal toxicities. Join anytime throughout the day for some or all of your favorite topics and teachers. Our goal? To promote The Power of Good Information! • Check out our Wish Lists on Amazon or Chewy. We always need in-shell walnuts, almonds, and hazelnuts; as well as shelled walnuts. Our other highest priorities as listed on our Amazon wishlist are chlorhexidine, pumpkin pie mix, nitrile gloves, & paper bags.
• We also have an Amazon Workshop Wishlist for maintenance, repair, and toy-making. We are constantly fixing cages and doing maintenance.

• Sponsor-a-parrot. Give a little extra for birds that need a little extra from us, either because of higher veterinary costs or because they have been at The Landing for a while waiting for their next home.

• "Taxi drivers" are always appreciated! We serve a large area on the east coast, and strive to make the best match for every bird. If you would like to help transport a bird to their next home, sign up and join us.
• Live in the Asheville area? On-site volunteers are always needed for cleaning cages and feeding birds, if you're interested in helping on a regular basis.
