All Things Important Monthly Newsletter June 2025

Next Meeting is JUNE 11th at 7pm

This month's meeting will be facilitated by two of our members, Cheryl O'Donnell and Carolyn Maul, whose mission is to help YOU get comfortable using your camara to take high quality photos of your artwork. Your iPhone or Android have amazing photo editing software built in that let you control things like aperture that you will sometimes need to use to get the lighting right to showcase your artwork. Everyone who attends the meeting on Wednesday is encouraged to bring a finished piece of art that you would like to have photographed, edited, and included on the Hollis Arts Society Facebook page. We are bringing everything you need to set up and photograph your art and we will assist you in editing your image so you walk away with something to add to your portfolio and your own website. So bring your questions and your phone and we will do our best to demystify the art of photographing art!

A Couple of Reminders:

  • We take a hiatus for the month of July so there will be no monthly meeting on July 9th.
  • This month's meeting is also a chance for you to vote on some new bylaw ammendments. We will cover this at the beginning of the meeting before moving on to photographing your art.
  • We are now accepting applications for our November Art Show and Sale. The application can be found on our website. Spaces are limited and available on a first come first served basis.

We are asking for your suggestions on our member meeting content.

Is there a local artist that you follow on social media?

Is there an artist you wish you knew more about?

Is there a technique you would love to learn about?

We would love to tailor our member meetings to what our members want the most, so if you have ideas for upcoming presenters please reply to this email and we will do our best to accomodate.

Other HAS Member's Shows:
