A summary of news and events,
for the people of the
Episcopal Churches of West Missouri
Another year and COVID continues to ravage our communities. It impacted Bishop Bruce's seating with people planning on attending falling ill and others having their travel plans affected. The reception following the service was canceled, but there are plans to make up for it. To find out what they are, you'll need to read the article. Scroll down for the link.

Heavenly Father, giver of life and health: Comfort and relieve your sick servants, and give your power of healing to those who minister to their needs, that they may be strengthened in their weakness and have confidence in your loving care; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. — Book of Common Prayer p459
The new year is starting out with lots of events both online and in-person. the Events section below has the details.

And finally. The next issue of New Spirit Update will be with you before you know it - next week, on January 20. In that issue, we'll be telling you about a 12ft(ish) high stained glass window portraying the ascending Jesus. It's going free to any church willing to give it a home. Watch this space.
