Since my mother passed away 10 years ago I have visited more than 100 different cities learning more about my mother and her art.
While on this journey I have met with artists, art consultants, gallery owners, museum directors, curators, university officials, city planners and collectors to discuss plans for preserving my mother's art and her legacy.
In addition, I have had the opportunity to see my mother's art on view in public places, in the halls of universities, and on display in performing arts theaters, galleries, and museums.
I have especially enjoyed meeting my mother's collectors and seeing their art in their beautiful homes around the country.
Since my mother's art is in so many collectors’ homes I decided to split the photographs into two emails; this is the first one.
