Photron FASTCAM NI DAQ Compatibility


FASTCAM NI DAQ Software Option is designed to synchronize Photron slow motion cameras with the bestselling M Series integrated BNC Data Acquisition (DAQ) units from National Instruments ™.
The optional NI USB-6251 BNC is controlled by the Photron Fastcam Viewer (PFV) camera control software and enables simultaneous recording and playback of both analog data very precisely synchronized with high speed video sequences recorded anywhere from 60 to 1.5 million frames per second (fps).


Photron high speed cameras are compatable with NI USB DAQ units


The FASTCAM NI DAQ Software Option is a  FREE plug-in that is supported by all current generation Photron cameras. It is standard off-the-shelf National Instruments DAQ Hardware (USB-6251).

The FASTCAM NI DAQ Software Option  enables the simulations recording of images and analog signal data. The software can control FASTCAM cameras and the NI DAQ system (NI USB-6251 BNC) to match the recording time of the Photron FASTCAM cameras.





The FASTCAM NI DAQ Software Option enables the synchronized play-back of graphed and recorded image data on the PC monitor. The software allows a designated period of image data and wave data (from NI USB-6251 BNC) to be saved and played back later.
